My point exactly. I know exactly why they're doing it, but the way it's often handled is kind of insulting.

I would venture that the destruction of the ancient city of Carthage would be a better indicator of the war's end than the symbolic 1985 treaty between the modern cities of Rome and Tunis...

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Friday.

Maybe.

Still up in the air.

I might end up having to work a bit late today.

And tomorrow. And even a little on Sunday.

Stoopid people out sick slowing down work.

Luckily, I had proof of the lie. So did the Shell project engineer, but he chose to pass on the lie rather than confirm it for himself. What a tool.

All right folks. I'm gonn go get another cup of coffee and rant about a$&@&*~s. Y'all try to have a good one.

You too.

Man, I like WAitrose supermarket. Rather than having 17 y.o. surly kids on the checkouts, they have 70 y.o. granny's instead.
It's a nice change.

Hey there FAWTLfolk, gonna pick your brains for a sec. My group stay out!

My Kingmaker spoilers, not so much for the AP as-written:
So coming up on the midpoint of Kingmaker Chapter 4. After taking care of Armag, my party is going to have to deal with a romp through Maure Castle going after Lilith's former sire, mythic dread vampire Ibrahim. Somewhere in that castle, I want Lilith to find a very special piece of treasure.

Problem is, I'm drawing blanks for thinking up cool powers for an artifact.

The item is called Rose of Charon and its base power is a +4 fierce-undeadbane ghost-touch composite longbow that automatically adjusts its Strength rating to suit the wielder. Certainly a powerful weapon, but hardly artifact level on its own - Lilith's current weapon is a +2 consumptive seeking magebane prismatic-burst composite longbow [+3 STR]. (Why yes we do use the Magic Item Compendium in our games, why do you ask?)

So I'm curious if FAWTL can cook up some thematic powers and extra goodies to stick on Rose of Charon to make it the artifact-level awesomeness I want it to be when Lilith finds it in a month or two. Adding another enhancement or two is fine, but I'm more interested in special side artifact powers than just picking another powerful bonus out of the books. I do not want it to be an intelligent item - already have three of those running around the campaign thus far. This is a mythic game nearing level 15/tier 4, possibly higher by then as there's at least two major quests before the party will march off to Maure Castle, so feel free to cut loose with the power level.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, the article in question did not have any pics. It did, however, have a quote from the lovely Mila, whose veracity a hold sacred.

Also, WTF?!?

Two months in a row I get notifications that my payment method is declined for subscription orders. Last time they told me it was a bug. I was hoping they'd have it fixed by now, but no such luck.

Any other subscription holders having that problem?

Essentially, the project I'm working is for Shell, but with heavy BP involvement, each side stands to gain/lose money depending on the speed with which the project is completed. The side which stands to lose money with greater speed has been throwing monkey wrenches into the works as much as possible.

True. But, then again, the ceremonial peace treaty did give an official end to it ^^

Rome and Tunis are not the only ones; the United States and Germany signed a treaty to end World War 2 in the 1990s and Japan did such with another nation they had been at war with that had been gobbled up by a bigger empire before the war ended. Nations are weird with the whole war issue...

If they're anything like most of the grannies I've seen in the supermarket, that's remarkably worse.

Orthos's Players, look here under penalty of flogging:
How about having the bow transmute the arrows into roses, flying stem-first, that maintain the armor-piercing capacity of arrows?

I might run something for some of our pathfinder FR group tomorrow.

I think I've gamed once in about the last six months.

That is 1 time more than me...

I have yet to find a gaming group in the UK. And as a side note a single room is no longer enough to contain my gaming collection. Time to start annexing a second room. The husband will not be pleased.

That's why I've tried to stick with PDFs. But even then, my gaming collection requires pruning before it takes over a second computer.

Do you have neighbors? They have rooms. Tell them you're colonizing.

There is something deliciously ironic about a Canadian coming to colonize England.

Looking forward to you coming back CH. Maybe next Saturday we can do stuff? Or would next Friday be better?

Must find way stations for my next trip to Houston

A friend of mine just took his cat in about a week ago, she too is 18, the vet said "She is old"...uh thanks

Woodraven, I hope your cat recovers quickly!

I hope I haven't missed to much during my absence (although I did see Woodraven's note about his cat: I hope they find out what's wrong with your cat!).

My wife and I have been helping to get my daughter set for her trip to Germany. She leaves tomorrow, and she'll be gone for a whole month (sad for us, but I hope she has a great time). We're driving down to the airport tomorrow morning, but I don't know what the process will be when we arrive. She might go to the international concourse right away, and that will be that, or we'll be standing around with her until she gets to go.

I did manage to get some time to work on a new Frightful Fridays! monster, which will debut in a little over two hours.
