My daughter and her boyfriend have been introducing each other to movies they really like but the other person has not seen. So far she's introduced him to Miyazaki films and Frozen, and tonight he's coming over to watch Dr. Strangelove.
Please give your daughter my best wishes. I do miss seeing her here.

You've got my daughter confused with the leafy one's daughter, I'm afraid.

All the same, I'll pass on your best wishes to my daughter anyway. :)

Oops.

Still, please tell her I said hi.

Please dont tell her about the nudity, though.

I will, and I won't.

I think TFY was referring to the notion that PMG might have to shut down this thread to preserve the site.

There would be a FaWTL 7, if that were the case.

I was not trying to insinuate that there will never be another Fawtl, It's just that this one has gone way past all the other incarnations.

Oh, hello.

Augh! GOG, what are you doing with my paypal?!

At least I already had Hereoes Of Might And Magic 2 & 3 bundles so its only Heroes Of Might And Magic 4 & 5 this time. Still, Imperialism 1 & 2 and Might & Magic 1-6 bundle... No, I must resist!

Just got the sidewinder joystick I always wanted when the price dropped significantly on Amazon (ten bucks, well down from the almost fifty they wanted at the start of the year). Soooooooo going to play mechwarrior 3 on my netbook tonight...

Give in to the GOG side.

Seems we jumped ahead almost a quarter of a chapter due to a paranoid oracle ruler and eager spymistress.

Just checking in to remind everyone to "follow the goat!".

About 35-40% of money I would like to save before leaving back for Poland reached. Two more months at least, maybe three, before going back.

It's only paranoia if you're wrong.

Adding to the list of "Things I have learned from Kingmaker":

"If the unsocial, reclusive, nerdy character who would rather read a book or play with building blocks than go adventuring suddenly stops hearing from their one most favorite relative, expect them to immediately launch an inquisition, come hell or high water, plot planned beforehand be damned."

Entertaining as it is I'd rather not spend too many more sessions on "Metal Gear Lilith" episodes.

Also I badly need to go catch up on my campaign journals. That and PbPs tonight seem to be the order of the day.

Then the rest of the weekend will be devoted to finishing my RS project.

Ditto. I prefer these kinds of episodes to be in-between the sessions. Had the information not been needed, we would have done just that.

In other news, kiddo has learned the fun of playing with a puppy. They wear each other out!

woohoo

Sweet mother of mayhem that just went on and on and on. Kingmaker journal is finally all caught up.

RS work and PbPs will have to wait for tomorrow sadly, as will catching up on Runelords journal.

Oh joy it's be that time again on Paizo!

Gotta stop forgetting rule one. "If it's not FAWTL, AP forums, Journals, PbPs, or product pages, DON'T READ IT."

Also "Skin Game" by Jim Butcher and "Hero of Ages" by Brandon Sanderson will be en route to my house as soon as the former comes out. Yay!

Nothing but the highest praise for Hero Of Ages. You will enjoy.

Met Brandon Sanderson at Comic Con a few years ago. Like all authors, he seems to be quite short.

So does this mean as someone who is 5'11" and change that I'm doomed as an author? =P

I've got the first two books in the series and am really enjoying "Final Empire", which got left behind by an ex-roommate when he moved out. Yay used bookstores, but the ONLY Sanderson book they had in the whole store was "Well of Ascension". So needed to B&N to finish the series.

DOOOOOOOMED

Maybe it' s just the authors I've been meeting. Any idea how tall George Martin is? I seem to remember Robert Jordan being of average height when I met him.

Welp, I'm out at 6'1".

Quiet overnight in FaWTL-land...

That's why I prefer eating them from behind.

Does this mean at 4'11", I'm destined for instant bestsellers?

Work-work-work-wor... Ech. The overtime ended after six hours instead of eight. There will be very little or none overtime in near future. Meh. Savings will grow slower than I would like.

FHDM said nothing about them being good authors.

Also, while Andrzej Sapkowski (author of Witcher book series) isn't tall, the second Polish most popular fantasy writer of 90s/early 2000s, Feliks Kres, was quite tall as are a few other popular Polish fantasy writers.

So, bowling and cheap vodka Thursday, amazing margaritas and Mexican food yesterday (this was AT work). I am liking this new big boss.

My cold has cleared up. It was short lived. I am glad, because I have a Toreador Song to sing tomorrow.

It might have just been rubbing alcohol. That is pretty much what it tasted like.

I feel slightly better.

According to Google, George R. R. Martin is 5'6". I'm not sure how I feel about Google having that as one of it's auto-pop-up answer things.

Uh? He looks much bigger on photographs. I am 5'11".

Same, plus a few cm.

Order of the day:

In that order, loosely.

Should get started on that. Laterz FAWTLfolk.

{dons Fisher Price stethoscope} Clearly, your body's alcohol deficiency had weakened your immune system. Alcohol also disinfects your insides. I prescribe regular intervals of drinking, with at least once weekly supplements of bacon, BonChon chicken, and bubble tea (although not necessarily all at the same meal).

You can pay my assistant in Newcastle Brown or Guinness on the way out.

Parents got back from carboot. Father immediately started showing off his new toy: he bought a used Momo9 7 inch tablet for 15 pounds. Working. Nice one.
