Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was pretty decent. Work was kind of pissy, but the wife and kidlets met me for lunch.
When I got home yesterday evening, the wife surprised me with decorations, chocolate chip cookie cake, and presents. I got two t-shirts and four bluray movies: Thor 2, Reservoir Dogs, Terminator 2, and Braveheart.
Plus we had delicious BBQ for dinner. Mmmmm......

After the boy was put to bed, I was sitting downstairs with the wife and we both kept hearing beeping noises. Turns out the boy had hidden his digital camera in his room and was playing games on it. I figured out the truth when he called for a drink of water, but forgot to stop playing his games and hide it when I came upstairs.
A master criminal he is not.

It seems that apparently I should get free contributor copy of Obsidian Apocalypse... I need to PM Louis Porter Jr about correcting that omission. I want to see what graphics my monster got.

My youngest daughter wants a pet chicken now.
Then we picked up some Popeye's for lunch. Now I'm sitting around a bit before going to run some more errands.
Some of the stuff I have left over is 2 small boxes of DVDs and a few CDs. The plan is to take them to Half-Priced Books. I may not get much, but I'll get something. I may just do that today, since the Half-Priced is right next to my FLGS. Then I could hit that place for free comic book day.

When we moved down to Texas and put the boy in a "big boy" bed, we bought a safety rail for the long side of his bed. Yet he still manages to fall out on occasion. Twice last night.

I've kidnapped Orthos and holding him ransom for 2 cases of Snapple and a pint of Jamocha Almond Fudge from Baskin Robbins. If I'm feeling particularly mean, I'll up it by a Carribean Cruise.All we were able to get on short notice was a two liter of jolt cola and some Ben and Jerry's chunky monkey. Will you trade him for that?
Chunky Monkey is the Joss Whedon of ice cream.
A couple of drunk guys in my lobby last night were going on and on about how much they loved the air freshener in the public bathroom. They wanted me to tell them what it was. How would I know? I'm not responsible for ordering or installing it, and frankly I try not to smell when I'm in a bathroom. But I told them I would ask the maintenance guy if he came by (he doesn't work on Sunday, but usually comes by for a cup of coffee and see if there is anything important needing done). He was surprised by the question but went and checked it. Turns out, it's cookie dough scented. Weird.
Learn your job, man.
The other day I was in Walmart and found a two-disc blu ray set of Ghostrider (extended cut) and Hellboy (direftors cut) for $10. Not too shabby. And that replaces two of the DVDs on my list.I really like Ron Perlman as Hellboy, he's just the right kind of scenery chewer for that sort of character, and I loved both the movies. If there's any comic I go to any extremes to start getting into, it'll probably be Hellboy. All that paranormal investigator, Cthulhu-esque in modern society, weird occult stuff that it's built around is right up my alley.

Fun fact! The half off frappuccinos made during Starbucks Happy Hour are seasoned with the tears of baristas!Meh. Most coffees are spiced with barista tears. Brewing coffee for the masses can be sad work. Especially when you have to get up before everybody else to brew the bean water.

I set my microwaved popcorn on fire at work once. I mean, it FLAMED when I opened the bag. I had to run it under water. It smelled absolutely horrible. Then I left the building for an offsite meeting, commiserating with everyone who complained about the smell. "Awful, isn't it? What idiot did that?"

We had a dozen chickens while I was growing up and they are a lot of work. They're also dumber than a bag of hammers. And raccoons will kill them any chance they can.
