But hardly any snow. I was all stocked up and prepared to be snowed in. What happened? Did Freehold go on a snow dancing hiatus?

Sorry, I didn't put my all into it. Here's hoping I get another snow in before the extended winter due to the groundhog seeing its shadow comes to it's true end.

Great. Now I can't NOT see it.

In the realm of the crappy, John and I may have to start looking for a new place. It looks like the owner of the house we rent is planning to sell later this year. There is no chance of us finding a place like the one we have for what we pay. We have a sweet deal on this place.

I really don't want to move. It will be the 6th time in 4 years for me.

Damn. I'm sorry. Any idea when you'll have to move by?

I do know at least one person who I was acquainted with in high school was amazed that there were pigeons going uneaten in ny. To him, it was the same thing as herds of bovines going uneaten as they wandered through the street.

That's silly... everyone in NYC knows that the herds of bovines move silently beneath the streets.

And the herds of cats travel by pneumatic tubes.

Bleh. I hope the house's owner has a change of heart and decides not to sell it.

Any chance he'll let you buy it and finance it himself?

:( That bites, CH. Like others have asked, any chance you and John could be the purchasers? Or could work something out with whoever the purchasers end up being? That the current owner could have a change of heart? I'll be wishing for the best for ye, whatever that may be.

It's Pancake Day?! ... It IS Pancake Day! :D Times like this make me wish there was an IHOP on the West Coast of Ireland.

I'm heading towards one this morning me self.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Tuesday! It's a bit cool. And very rainy. But, hey! I now have my own coffee maker in my office here at work. So all is right with the world.

So, two of my main designer/drafter folks are in offices right around the corner from each other but that share part of a common wall. Instead of walking over to ask each other questions, they call each other. I've been threatening to cut a hole in the wall and install in of those doctor/dentist office sliding windows.

Scarab Sages

I shall have.....another cup of coffee.

Scarab Sages

I can see myself using my refillable Kuerig filter more often.

The other day I noticed new guy "fixing" slightly off-center name plates. Needless to say, I shall now have to occasionally re-off-center them.

Scarab Sages

Yes, I can be that much of an a!+!&&#.

Scarab Sages

Some people would not be surprised by this.

My poor baby girl was really cranky last night. It was a combination of being tired and hungry. But daddy got her calmed down every time.

Bad Aberzombie! Bad!

Scarab Sages

All right folks, I'm gonna go enjoy my coffee and maybe talk with some dudes about work things. Peace and chicken grease.

Or.....fun loving Aberzombie who just wants to make the new guy slightly crazier so that he'll maybe crack a smile and laugh on occasion.

I may have to buy him a personality first....

Scarab Sages

Ah, who am I kidding......I'm being a dick.

Scarab Sages

In my own defense, new guy is kinda creepy. Like worse than dude dressed as a clown and hanging out on a lonely street corner at 3 am waving to passersby creepy.

Scarab Sages

That's totally a thing, by the way.

Scarab Sages

All right, this time I really am going.

I'm for crazy and creepy if there's a need for it.

How about two tins on a string? :D

This has merit. Drilling a single hole through the wall and threading a string through is much, much less of a headache than installing a window.

So this is the first year since I developed a wheat allergy, and I am sooooooooooooo jealous of all the people eating delicious paczki today.:(

Most of the time I'm good with the new gluten-free lifestyle thing (I had to give up mascara because I can't find any without wheat in it...WTF? And don't get me started on how long it took me to find a wheat free and sulfate free shampoo....but other than that) but not as thrilled about it today.

I had never heard of this so I went to look it up.

I want one so bad.

Sorry. I forget that not everybody knows what paczki are. They're kind of a big deal in Michigan, so I take that for granted. They are so ridiculously good. And there is a bakery near here that is run by a Polish family (as in emigrated from Poland, not of Polish descent) that makes the best paczki I've ever had. Except now I can't haz. ;;

I will look around the hippy dippy coop for non wheat based stuff.

What's a Shrove, anyhoo?

It's either a giant, eight-taloned bird or this.

I might be making one of those definitions up.

my wife is trying to convince me that I have become lactose intolerant

I tell her she is wrong, every time she brings it up

usually while I am curled up in the fetal position and groaning after having consumed something with lactose

Just remind her you are a tolerant person, having no wish to be lactosist.
