Oops, don't skip Orthos's post.

On the previous page, that is. Plus, he's clothed. I think.

So...the game had to go and get all interesting at the end.

Wow.

It's football. It's never interesting.

Also, I don't think we are supposed to talk about it. Therefore, I won't anymore.

Ah. Nothing like a good feud between counties (or shires in this case).

I woke up (barely), went for the second day of training. Waited a few minutes in front of entrance because our cards are not yet opening doors. When we finally could enter the trainer of second group came and said we can go back to home because our trainer went with his pregnant wife to hospital at night because she might be giving birth early.

Now we have to wait until a call from work telling us either he is back and ready to continue training or another trainer was rescheduled to train us.

Pointless getting up at 4:50...

Oh, the humanoidity!!!!

Ain't no panic from this zombie. I just break out my winter coat and roll with it.

Also, good morning FAWTLY FOLK!! Happy Tuesday!!! Another cold one here in Houston. Brrrr.

So, yesterday I go to make travel plans with my coworker for our trip to the platform. We're supposed to leave Sunday to be at the helipad in Houma early Monday morning. He shows me an email (which he received last week and forgot to forward to me) saying that our start date on the rig was pushed back to the 15th. I emailed my BP contact to confirm, and that guy tells me "no", our new dates are actually 19-22 January - nearly a full week after what we had been told for over a month now. At this rate, I may never have to go out to the rig.

Scarab Sages

And that's fine by me. I worry about leaving the wife and kids home alone. Even with my brother and his family just down the street.

Scarab Sages

Dang blast it! Forgot about the game last night. In my defense, however, I was very busy with parental duties, such as giving my princess a bath.

And the boy's potty training has advanced by leaps and bounds over the last two days. Out of deference to those who might be eating breakfast whilst reading this, I shall refrain from any further details.

We are getting closer and closer to 10K posts. Must remember to keep a closer eye on the boards so that I don't miss the big blitz to get there.

Hey Aeglos! I saw that FB picture of Marlon! Good looking kid! Very happy for you guys!

Hmmmm.....more coffee....or hot chocolate? Meh, I'll probably end up doing both.

On the way in to the office, the tiny voice that comes out of the box in my Trailblazer mentioned ice on the roads. Be careful out there, fellow Houstonian FAWTLIES.

Sometimes, the tiny voice sings to me.

All right, folks! Gotta go. Have a good one.

Got a call from work... The training will continue on Monday...

Four days of wage lost. *sigh*

So much for a new decently working laptop.

Finally home after a few days in exile. Thankfully the pipes didn't freeze and everything seems fine. Except the roads. Those are s~@#.

Oh, and depending on who you ask, our forecast high today is either 8 or 13 degrees. Better than yesterday's -6, but still too freaking cold.

We're at 36F already and the lovely powder is turning into mush. :( :( :(

I was slip-sliding around in the parking lot the other day and came to realize that I could very probably cross-country ski quite comfortably, even with my bad knee.

It's the best form of exercise there is - works out every muscle in the body when done correctly.

Okay, so I guess the ones moving the eyeballs around might not get that much exercise from it.

...or the tongue. But other than that most of them do.

I would like to try this without spending a ton of money.

There's always roller-skis. Personally the lack of breaks is turning me off them, though.

Stay warm!

We're looking forward to record lows in a couple of days.

I have been trying to. My poor car does not like this weather.

quite well. Quite well indeed. Hopefully another snowstorm ensues so that we can get yeti walking the streets for me to hunt or coerce into eating my boss!

Beware there is some hunter out there claiming to have shot a Bigfoot. He may come after your Yeti minions soon.

But your boss will give the yetis indigestion, and *trust me* you don't want acid refluxing yetis walking around.

Is that better or worse than Badgers with acid reflux?

It's okay. I'll send them to hunt my supervisor next....

You know that may cause bowel issues?
