I do think we need an official ruling on that pronunciation issue.

There was one in an old Dragon magazine. Ay pronunseeAYshun gyd: An informal index of the right things to say Dragon (Issue 93 - Jan 1985)

How do you pronounce...?

Isn't it fun when a web search explains a mild medical problem you've been too lazy to see a doctor about?

Oral allergy syndrome. I now have a name for why I can't eat certain fruits raw, but can eat them just fine when cooked. And it's associated with my respiratory allergies. Who would have thunk?

Thanks Jess!

I'm trying to balance Diane's recovery with a trip to Texas and a project starting in Arizona next month (hopefully) on top of some serious financial challenges. Fortunately Diane is doing quite well so far.

ugh road construction and my stomatch feels sick. I think I failed a fort save.

If I eat pineapple raw, the inside of my mouth and my tongue burns, and if I still eat more (pineapple is delicious, dammit!), I can't taste anything correctly. Sometimes for over 24 hours.

We just learned that Diane's oldest grand daughter is not starting high school tomorrow where she was enrolled because the district lost her paper work after accepting her!

School starts tomorrow, and she is not enrolled any where, and it's 2:49 here, and Diane is scrambling to fix it all.

Bensodiazepines with a raised dose like you describe is a matter of slowly lowering. If you haven't been on it for years, it takes perhaps a month or so of even lowering, otherwise best practice is about ten percent of the time you have used it. This way you don't get too much anxiety due to withdrawal, and in weeks that are rough, you can let the dose stay one extra week at the previous level. This is a good reason not to use bensodiazepines for other than acute conditions.
can't favorite this enough.

According to the article, oral allergies to tropical fruits are usually associated with latex allergies. Are you allergic to latex?

I can eat strawberries just fine - however, if I help out picking them I break out in rashes all over my arms that itches like hell.

Thankfully, that and a slight over-sensitiveness to laundry-detergents is about the only "allergies" I seem to have.

I'm caught up.

There is something seriously wrong with me. ;)

Wow. This cleric character I am building has 1 skill point. Fantastic.

Wow

Silver Crusade

Yeah. I put it in Heal. I guess. I hope no one expects him to roll Knowledge (Religion) at any point.

Silver Crusade

I still tend to think of clerics in 3.5 CODzilla terms, but PF clerics are not nearly so awesome. They can still be good, but it takes more work than it used to.

I tend to enjoy running healers and support clerics. I liked the 3.5 cloistered cleric.

Running a full on battle cleric can be fun too though.

yeah definitely because it is not like clerics are the representatives of a god or a religion or anything like that

oh sh-

Yeah that's yet another reason I like Oracles better than Clerics - 4 skill points/level instead of the measly 2.

And even then I'm like "I NEED MORE SKILLLLLLZZZZZ"

I had an Oracle of life in Kingmaker who was pretty fun, but i never got used to running a healer with a 10 Wis. O_o

My latest has 9, and only because Changeling gives +2 ;)

Playing a 7-Wis Paladin was pretty fun too.

Eeekk

In fairness, Low Wisdom is far easier for me to play than the opposite. It's more true to life. ;)

lol

Intimidate. You don't have to be able to do anything except convince other people to do things for you.

Flight to Indy is delayed by storms in Houston :(

Worse news, the flight crew has been diverted to Austin.

I have this as well. I can typically eat fruits and salads until ragweed kicks up. Then any bite of carrot, kiwi, melon (any sort), pineapple, banana, etc. causes me to make funny noises trying to scratch the itch above my tonsils.

Of course, some progress to scalp itching and hives on my back, so that's straying outside the oral realm, but it rarely gets that bad.

Spellscar here. Only reason she has positive wis is because we rolled, and my dice are friendly.

A holiday today. 93rd anniversary of battle of Warsaw (date of holiday arbitrary picked from Aug 12-25 range because of coinciding church holiday) and a Day Of Polish Armed Forces.

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! I hope everyone has an awesome day!

Scarab Sages

For me, I know it's gonna be busy and filled with annoyance.

Scarab Sages

But that might be a step up from last night, which was just filled with death and insanity.
