Alright. So after vetting it through a few people, here's the first draft of the Goblin Song in Mandarin. Hopefully this doesn't count as a "lengthy" post. ;)
小妖精的歌
作詞: Paizo
翻譯: Oladon
Comments/suggestions are welcome!

I'm not even remotely qualified to comment or suggest. Still, this is impressive.

To bug you with pointless update. Swam 2000 yards in 58 min.
And more pointless updates: After losing against archrivals AIK (in Stockholm, in a match that was overshadowed by the ceremonies surrounding the death of AIK's Croatian goalkeeper Ivan Turina [at 32 years of age] earlier that week) earlier in the week, IFK Göteborg bounced back and beat Halmstad BK 1-0 today.
Still in with a shot at the title after 8 games.

And maybe I can flap my arms and fly to the moon.
;P
(Translation- we're getting drenched pretty thoroughly here!)
;P
It's almost non, almost time for the MArley party!
(Again, not nearly as fun as it sounds. It means we have to lay the rubber marley dance floor, and tape all 7 strips to the stage using about 6 rolls of gaffers tape. Takes at least 10 people to do it 'properly' and easily. I have 2 showing up.)

On a positive note, Last night I had my first production meeting for a show I was asked to provide combat choreography for. It's called "She Kills Monsters", written by Qui of Vampire Cowboys fame. (from New York, Google it) ;)
SHort version, play is about an older sister dealing with the loss of her nerdy teenage sister, finds her sister's D&D notebook, and finds one her sister's friends to DM it for her, so she can try to see if she can learn something about her sister from it. Without a doubt the best presentation of D&D (or anything similar) I have ever seen in a play or film. And the journey of the main character is very touching too. (Qui s very good at his work)
Our 1 hour production meeting turned into a 4-1/2 hour geek fest as we tried to see how many nerd references we could cram into the show. On top of all the ones that already written into it. :/
I think we came very close to nerdgasm critical mass. :D

Hi everyone,
big day is over
we had an awsome time
no rain! a bit cold, but I won't complain. everything went smothly. everyone had a great time. we got a lot of very creativly wrapped money presents.
we danced a lot, our Opening Waltz was "Nothing else matters"
it feels strange to wear a ring, I never had one before
soon I will post pics (Sabine will be much faster with Facebook)
and DAMN did I had a beautiful, gorgous Bride !!!!

Thats fascinating-the last wedding I was at the bride walked down the aisle to Nothing Else Matters...

Drejk wrote:Oladon, maybe you should post that translation in setting section?Perhaps. But I feel that it still needs a bit of revision work!
You're correct, btw, that 小妖精 is "goblin" (it's not Kanji though!). The romanisation (Hanyu pinyin) is xiao3 yao1 jing1.
I know but Japanese kept general meaning of individual characters so kanji translator is substitute solution. In fact kanji translator I use (Denishi Jisho) shows both Chinese and Korean readings as well as order of strokes when drawing particular characters.

Damn, now we'll have to stalk every Sabine living in Hessia on Facebook to see them quickly enough...
and DAMN did I had a beautiful, gorgous Bride !!!!
This reminded me a scene from a session a few years ago:
Party is attending a wedding of a local noble in rather classic fantasy realm. We had already solved one problem but our experience there will be some evil twist on the plot.
Pawel's musings: So, the groom will put the ring on her finger and the beautiful bride will turn into something monstrous...
Pawel's brother: Wife?

On our NWN server several years ago, Ebon's character was getting married (mine was maid of honor/head of security detail) and when the ring came out was when all the Drow showed up to kidnap the bride.
But then again, that server had a standing "advisory policy" toward all GMs that basically said "If you see a PC wedding in play, do something to mess with them".

...Should we worry about KM?

Nah. When we switched servers to the last one I played on, all of us who jumped ship pretty much agreed that that kind of GMs-to-players antagonism sucked.
Puck might show up uninvited though.

Suddenly very glad reincarnate made that sideplot less likely...

Actually it was a running joke among our Fading Suns party that it is impossible to have a party, ball, wedding, funeral or any other official reception without political incident, murder (or at least attempt) or terrorist attack.
When we got one incident-free everyone was to paranoid to enjoy it properly.
Oh, yes, and we had wedding with kidnapping and assassination attempt -thwarted only due to my character possessing an ancient race artifact (portable stasis chamber that could be collapsed into a small sphere when not used so my character carried it with him all the time) and presence of my character's personal MD, a highly skilled NPC who had a habit of saving lives of important people... In later parts of the campaign he acquired a number of titles bestowed on him by people he saved, a tradition started by my character.

Cool you actually got to play Fading Suns, you lucky man. I haven't really got to play a good political game (barring occasional ones).
