Congratz Shiny!

Welp, our Kingmaker group's last "original body" can no longer claim that title. My dhampir got kissed by Puck and turned into a fey. (It was, supposedly, in payment for being entertaining and fun.)

Magna cum laude? Way to go, Shiny!

There are much worse degrees ever.

Or lack of degrees after not graduating.

Actually it was a running joke among our Fading Suns party that it is impossible to have a party, ball, wedding, funeral or any other official reception without political incident, murder (or at least attempt) or terrorist attack.

When we got one incident-free everyone was to paranoid to enjoy it properly.

Oh, yes, and we had wedding with kidnapping and assassination attempt -thwarted only due to my character possessing an ancient race artifact (portable stasis chamber that could be collapsed into a small sphere when not used so my character carried it with him all the time) and presence of my character's personal MD, a highly skilled NPC who had a habit of saving lives of important people... In later parts of the campaign he acquired a number of titles bestowed on him by people he saved, a tradition started by my character.

Cool you actually got to play Fading Suns, you lucky man. I haven't really got to play a good political game (barring occasional ones).

We played it for eight or nine years before the group fell apart due to personal reasons. We mostly recovered by the campaign was already gone and no one really wanted to get back to it.

You go, Shiny!

Congratulations, Shiny! I'd offer you bacon, but your miles and miles away. Guess I'll just have to eat it all myself......

Happy Mother's Day to all the Momma FAWTLYs! They're like Momma Grizzlies, only twice as deadly.

You're moving to El Paso?

It's in the same state, so it's close, right?

There's a very great deal of mental disconnect going from careful wording around wish-granting fey in game to watching Aladdin and the worst side-effect of making a wish being a pop-culture reference I don't get.

It must be. Everything's bigger in Texas, so distance probably doesn't matter as much.

Ugh. Don't even joke about moving to El Paso. *shudders*

Damn, now we'll have to stalk every Sabine living in Hessia on Facebook to see them quickly

you will find her in the friends list of AZ, Jess and Patrick

Mike and Max got to her before me as well :P

I got an idea for an SF campaign setting while getting back from D&D session. Might try to write down a bits of it for further use.

I killed a frost giant with my darkfire spell. Also saved fighter from dying once and monk twice. Healing in combat has its merits.

The Puck has left his mark, and journeys on to stranger lands! Toodle-loo!

Hi FAWTL. It's late.

I should probably be either sleeping or writing. But am I doing either?

Spoiler:
No, I'm not.

I have my notebook open in front of me... but so far I haven't typed up anything from it tonight.

What do you think, FAWTL? What shall I do?!

I shall work on it.

Good morning from soggy alcoholic Las Vegas. Kicked ass in a restricted cab yesterday.

Very, very well done Mr Shiny. That's magnificent news on the degree.

So I had a bizarre dream last night. Apparently it involved my entire family going on some kind of vacation inside a rather sizable spaceship/space station. The thing flew out to some random point in deep space (I have vague recollections of a "point of no return" type thing, like ships sailing to Antarctica) then settled there for the duration of the journey.

I recall most of the entertainment of that part of the trip revolved around people getting into spacesuits and walking around in the void outside the ship. Mostly because this was the point that dream-me became utterly terrified and refused to participate, much to the irritation and anger of my sister, because the ship's policy was that these trips had to be done on the buddy system or something like that and thus she couldn't go out on her own, and my parents had gone together.

I don't remember much of what happened after that, other than the thing that woke me up being my sister in a spacesuit (no recalled explanation of who she got to join her outside the ship or if she was breaking ship policy by going out alone) popping her tether loose and flying off into space.

If nothing else this has reinforced my lack of desire to ever leave this planet.
