Nothing too bad I hope?

Gawd I wish. I have to get Ari and Riley to sleep first. And I know they need a nap. Ari is sick and fighting sleep so she is incredibly whiny and is prone to tears over the littlest thing. Like her brother getting 4 sips of a shared soda and her getting 3? And Riley is just plain mean when he is sleepy.

crawls out of the sea of numbers in which she's been drowning

Woohoo!! Report draft finished and submitted! I have triumphed over the survey data! (At least temporarily.)

I'm taking the rest of the day off to attend to housework, and this evening there will be beer and pool.

That sounds familiar. Just yesterday my wife took 4 sips after I had taken 3. I had to go to my room and I cried myself to sleep.

It's time for the getting out of work early dance!

Actually, I am going through similar things with my kids. It's really kind of funny to me how kids expect one thing and if things aren't exactly the way they expect it, it's the end of the world for them.

My youngest is generally pretty well behaved. So when I picked him up from a club meeting and the leader said that he threw a MAJOR tantrum, I was a little concerned. He had the priviledge of being the "line leader" for one thing and then it was someone elses turn and that was when he threw the fit. Come to find out that in his preschool, when you are the line leader, you're the line leader for the day. So when he was denied being the line leader elsewhere when he hadn't done anything wrong, he lost it.

I've seen my kids lose it over ... being the first out of the door, getting two more grains of rice, getting the last blue sucker, etc. It's really kind of funny -- assuming you're not in public when it happens...

I've seen plenty of adults behave the same way.

She's holding her own. She's a fighter. They wouldn't spring her from ICU though. =( Can't go up tonight, wife trapped in nightmare of big boss inspection. I just spent 2 hours after work powerwashing her store's portico. Kinda beat after travelling to Beantown every day after work. Friggin' Boston drivers ...

Cherry Chocolate Chip Soy Ice Cream was surprisingly good. I didn't care for the vanilla flavor at all so it took me a while to get up the nerve to try one of the other flavors. Me like. :)

I had my phone interview. I wish it was possible to tell what they said among themselves once they hung up :)

Our heads have been undercover for a while. Thanks for the heads up, though it already passed us. :)

It's nice driving through blinding rain on flooded roads and hearing the tornado warning go off.

It is even nicer to know we're passing it along to Urizen.

Make sure there are no flying monkeys outside, and that the road isn't paved with yellow bricks.

Maybe we should check outside! We dodged the bullet on this one. Damage all around but not here. *Whew!*

The road has yellow bricks, it is at the park. The monkeys are carved from old trees. So is the lion but the Tin man is made of tin.

Poor Paris, I apologize now.

Popping in to say good night.

Those with stormy weathers approaching stay safe.

Pat, happy to hear your little one is staying strong, you and yours are still in our prayers.

Replace weather with teacher, and that is where I am at right now.

Pat, hope your little monkey is getting better.

For those dealing with stormy weather, stay safe.

Jyu1ch1, sorry you're having trouble with a crappy teacher. :(

I really needed a good night's sleep last night, so of course it was a bad night. Sleepy, cranky lynora. At least I went to the store last night so I don't have to try to make it without coffee.

No sleep and no coffee make Lynora something something.

Good wishes to you and yours, Pat. Don't be discouraged if they take their time moving her out of ICU. Her treatment is best taken slowly and giving her time to heal right.

Morning all. Worked late, was busy last night, went to bed, and overslept. Got here on time but needed hubby to do the bank run for me. :P

4 papers this weekend. 1 down, three to go. Lesson learned: don't take more than one course that requires frequent essays to be written - per quarter.

It rained a lot last night and I had to walk in it to and fro' to the show I went, but it wasn't a calamity. :)

But keep in mind that when you say it's nicer to know it's coming my way, the same applies to Allen. Actually, it hits him first as he's one town west of me. *whistles*

Huzzah!
On call for Easter weekend.
See how it goes.

Yeesh. I remember those from my English major days. Good luck getting all those essays done.

Kidlet has started lobbying to be allowed to play Pathfinder. He has a character planned and everything. And when I say planned, I mean in detail. o.O

As in stated up and everything, or conceptualized? What is he wanting to play?

He doesn't know how to number crunch the stats yet or he would have. He wants to play a dwarf fighter who uses a sword and has a greataxe as a backup weapon, and doesn't like to use a bow because his hands get all shaky (cause he has high strength and low dex) and actually has a realistic idea of what kind of damage he should do, and has been begging me to please show him how to generate ability scores...I had no idea he was even interested, let alone that he'd memorized everything I ever told him about the game! :)

Neat! So, why not run a mini trek and him solo against some orcs? If he can be focused on it and get the numbers down, I see that as a good thing. :)

Well, first I have to walk him through creating a basic character (and it's finals week, so that will have to wait), and then at some point his dad will do just that. Not me. I...well, I kind of melt down when I try to GM. No real idea why. Just can't handle the pressure. :)

You know when you have a crappy English teacher when....
They misspell tattoo & print.

No wonder I'm passing this class.
