My job is sucking away my will to live more than usual.
I feel ya. I like my job and I do important stuff, but MAN the admin BS and the upper level BS just makes the job not fun anymore.

I was optimistic a week or so ago when my boss told me they were concerned about the amount of overtime I was working and they wanted to give me a break from that. Then 2 days later he let me know about an upcoming project and that I should be prepared for increased overtime.

take care of yourself, in my gaming group alone we had two burnout cases it happens faster than you think
I think I burned out in July. Now I'm just in Walking Dead mode.
maybe you should talk with a doctor, a real burnout is a serious thing and take conciderable toll on your health

Yeah, managed to go there 10 minutes before closing and came back already. When I left it occured to me that I should had check if they had mild painkillers (or rather check how much they would cost as I am prety sure that Real has some shelfs with non-prescription drugs).

Morning all. What did I miss?
Well, Scott ended up going to bed earlier than usual the night before, leading him to miss when the Publisher's Clearing House team tried to offer him $10 Million before moving on to the next name on their list. Meanwhile, Mike's joy at his favorite team making the playoffs was short-lived after he learned that, according to ancient prophecy, their victory was one more sign that the world would soon be coming to an end. And, across town, the actions of some meddling children and their damned dog led to the revelation that Heath was.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!
