Nekkid cheering!

Scarab Sages

And an entire page of sexy zombie action!

Scarab Sages

Ok, bye.

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

An entire page of zombie.

Windows 8 sucks. I wonder what idiot thought that unification of UI between tablets and normal computers was good idea? Haven't they thought that touch screen controls fail when one uses mouse?

Because Windows hasn't been "good" since XP.

Finally! Season 2 of Walking Dead has arrived on Netflix! Now decisions decisions, pause our viewing of Supernatural for a Walking Dead hiatus, or continue through the end of season 4 before watching WD. Hmmmmm, what to do?

Be warned my friend, sharks are jumped in season 2. Season 3 had better be VERY good, otherwise the show isn't coming back.

Oooh, tonight I get to watch a show I DVR'd last night - 666 Park Avenue. It looks like the bastatd love child of The Shining and Fantasy Island. But it's got Terry O'Quinn. I like that dude.

It is the very visage of the Wyrm, possibly the Defiler. It should be purged.

Silver Crusade

I spilled coffee on the crotch of my pants.

Liberty's Edge

Jail? Really?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

You know the professor's old when he doesn't know how to work a VCR. You know you're old when you're one of two people in the room who do.

I beg to differ. I use Seven for three years and a month now and I am very happy with it - as for now it seems to be the best Windows version. Windwos XP SP2 is good but the only thing is better with it is the greater chance that dos games will run on it... Oh, wait, properly configured DosBox. Never mind then.

Spend over an hour trying to download LOTRO today. Of course Pando froze just seconds before end (some 30 MB left). I uninstalled it and tried to download installer from file planet and, wonder of wonders, this time the archive was uncorrupted. And downloaded faster than through Pando. Pando provides safe and quicker download? Down my *** perhaps...

Installing in process and half way done. Will it or will it not actually run on this computer? The question remains unanswered. Installing updates is before me so I doubt I will manage to learn the answer before going away for a WH40K session within the next 45 minutes...

It wasn't scalding hot, thankfully. However, I could not have done a better job making it look like I peed myself I was trying.

G'morning, FAWTLies!

I totally did not look at the seekrit message.

hi everyone

Huh... I just slept for 11 hours...

Must be nice.

Me? I did NOT get to sleep for anything near 11 hours.

You know your tired when someone says 'Good morning" and your response is, "What, Already? Didn't we just have one of those?"

And I have no coffee. I am completely out. On a Monday morning.

This may just be the day that someone gets hurt,...

So long as it isn't you. And just a student or someone.

No. No. No. It's "sexy zombie action".

Scarab Sages

Mmmmmm....left over stew.

Sovereign Court

Dexter was awesome last night. the only down side? I have to wait a week to find out what's next.

Almost had a TPK our second session of Jade Regent due to goblins. Well, actually due to first level and horrible rolls. I don't think the poor barbarian rolled an attack roll above a 5 more than 2-3 times in a good 15 round long slug-fest.

Scarab Sages

Kill! KILL!! KILL!!!

Scarab Sages

Debating whether I should put in an 8, 8.5, or 9 hour day.

Sovereign Court

I have a hand-out! I want to hand it out! But the goblins would not die!!!

Scarab Sages

Sooo...there's a competitive promotion being opened in my division for a piping expert. My boss has already told me I'm one of the eligible ones. Thing is, I know of at least one other person who will likely put in for it, and I think he's earned it waayyy more than I have.

So, now I'm debating on even putting in for it. A buddy of mine thinks I should because the interview process is a good thing to get experience with.

I agree with your buddy. Go for it.

You never know what is going to happen with that other person. It's not a good idea to second-guess it. That other person could, in the interim, land some other job, and then you will be kicking yourself for not throwing your name in.

Do it, if for no other reason than for the interview experience.

^This^, and also you may get a chance to show your stuff to people who would not normally pay much attention. Even if you're not the best candidate for this job, make a good showing and people will remember you when other jobs open up. Believe me!
