It's awesome! I've been there several times, but this was the first time for Diane's grand daughters.I actually got to go there the year after the fire of 1989 and help rebreak a trail. We were there for 28 days and it was one of the best times of my life.

we drove through the redwood woods down to highway 1.
now in a motel right at the beach in Fort Bragg.
we have seen Elk!!!! ( that's wapiti for my fellow european FaWtLies)
sadly no banana slugs
tomorrow we drive down highway 1 to San Francisco

Hopefully I'll get coastal here soon and make my way south again.
Sort of. More like me taking advantage of some dead time before the violation order is signed and I have to do my last little "vacation" before real freedom.

But, in 18 to 20 months, I'll be taking a victory lap around the nation when I do have real freedom, pretty much a FAWTLY and Family trip. Figure I'll do three months of travel when I'm done with the Feds and then decide whether I'll stay in Texas or move to the Northeast again.
There is a chance I may be relocating to the left coast when I get out, depends on whether or not my friend and I can sell our TV show idea to some people in L.A. who are interested in hearing our pitch.

It's one of those nights at work... Midnight to 3 and everyone is *hella* drunk. Still, this is a new venue for me, and the weather is pleasant enough to work outside.

Don't mean to b%!&+ about things, but this is starting to worry me. Woke up this morning with my entire body hurting. I thought it was just a bad hangover, but it's still hurting sixteen hours later. It's the kind of pain one would expect from heavy physical activity, but I haven't done that in many weeks, and it's f$+!ing EVERYWHERE.

Could be you're coming down with something, maybe a mid summer flu? If it keeps up go see a doc, I know you don't like them any more than I do but you gotta take care of yourself.
