I think that both movies are going to be very good. Now that they are connecting the movies into one universe, it's gonna be SWEET!
"Green Lantern" is going to destroy both, but I might be a little biased....

I didn't think Daredevil was that bad. I would have liked to see Bullseye in costume though.

If you haven't yet, watch the director's cut. It's a much different movie and is actually quite good.

I think GL is going to be good, but it's kinda hard to beat Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Hugo Weaving as Red Skull.

Speaking of summer movies anyone else really looking forward to Captain America and Thor?
The only superhero movie I'm not looking forward to this summer is X-Men: First Class (No, Charles never had hair and Alex is Scott's younger brother!).
That being said, I'm probably going to still see it since I can't resist a good Kevin Bacon as smarmy bad guy performance.
Here's all the movies I'm looking forward to this summer for popcorn-eating fun (i.e. no thinking involved)
Scream 4 - Yeah, I know, but I can't help myself.
Thor
Pirates of the Caribbean 4 - It's like watching Connery as Bond or Ford as Indy; I can't get enough (even Never Say Never Again and Indy 4)
Green Lantern
Bad Teacher
Transformers 3 - I have to see if it's possible to get any worse.
Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows 2 - Right, like you've seen all the others and are going to miss this one??
Captain America
Cowboys & Aliens
Fright Night
Conan the Barbarian
Phew... that's a full summer.

Pretty much planning to see this entire list, except Transformers 3 (and I don't know what Bad Teacher is about). Having been at the right age to appreciate Fright Night, I'm interested to see how it does. Colin Ferrell in Chris Sarandon's role seems appropriate and I'm really looking forward to David Tennant in Roddy McDowell's role. Chekov as Charlie? Eh, but it's not like the original was that great an actor. :)

Bad Teacher is Cameron Diaz in an R-rated comedy where she is a terrible teacher. ;)

See, I like the 'dumb' movies. They're funny and entertaining. It's like why people like the Three Stooges (not my cup of tea, but a good example). Nobody thinks it's intellectual, it's just amusing.

I'm thinking gl is going to suck, but I am an overwhelming John fan. I'll certainly go see it, however. The only thing i pray they do not do is turn Jordan into Rayner without the artistic skill. And I truly hated daredevil, Matt Murdock without stick is just matt damon (or whoever they got to play him), still bullseye was the best part of the film.

My point is that at times the plots on many Stooges or Monty Python skits are more well planned and better thought out that half the shlock I see on film anymore. While I do not expect many or even most of these films to be academy winners of any sort. At times I want a movie, be it super hero or whatever, to have a bit more thought in it than what is the best explosion we can have, yes I am looking at you Transformers 3.

Close Ben Affleck at times it is hard to tell them apart. Ben is the Tall one with darker hair.
Thankfully the plug was pulled on the Superman/Batman film. At one time, so the internet rumors go, they were slated to play the main characters. Personally I think they were afraid G~D would strike them down in righteous vengeance if it had ever made it to film.
Then again the new superman movie is looking like it is going to be a remake of the Christopher Reeve movies. So what do I know.

I'll give Bay this, he's the right person visually for the franchise. Script-wise, not so much.

Also the Spidey remake looks like it's going to be interesting. Plus they're going to the comics roots and having Gwen Stacey it it but no MJ.
I thought MJ was in the High school but they had moved on and apart by the time of college where he meets Gwen. Then after her death he runs back into the long lost girl next door MJ.

Visually I find the films a little "much" Yeah the transformations are cool, however at times they seem too detailed. So much information I cant see all the little parts they put together specifically while combat and other "read explosions" things are going on. Sometimes less is more.

It does and it doesn't. I mean part of our hobby is getting into the mind of another person with different morals, experiences, and life. Is it scary we can sometimes come up with ideas that are truly creepy/sadistic/morally questionable? Yes, but at the same time I think it shows a pontential for good role playing.
But also at the same time parts of the gaming world are fairly black and white morally speaking. Undead are always evil and so are goblins (in the Pathfinder setting anyways).

It frightens me slightly.... I mean my characters have no problem with killing when it comes to defending ones home or family, or when showing mercy really isn't an option (such as the heat of combat) but he doesn't ever coup de grace a defenseless sentient being that isn't irredeemably evil, that in itself I would deem as an evil act. that's just me
