So I was being trained on the engraving machine at work, and had to engrave a metal Noahs Ark Piggy Bank.
*Looks at engraving form then enters code for image into engraving computer*
Me: Hey Shan, I don't think you wrote down the right image code.
Shan: Why do you say that?
Me: Because that code brings up an image of a triceratops, I doubt someone bought a Noahs Ark piggy bank to engrave a triceratops on it.
Shan: Oops it's supposed to be a picture of the cross
*flips through image book then enters proper code*
Me: uh-oh SHAN!!!!
Shan: What?
Me: I somehow managed to Engrave a triceratops with an image of the cross over top of it!!!
Shan: Uh-oh
Me: I hope that lady doesn't come to pick this up tonight cause she'll think I'm trying to make some bizarre political statement :S

~laughter~ This has been an enjoyable webcomic (so far).
I read that one myself for a while. It was pretty interesting up until the entire comic became devoted to nothing but drift racing. After that, it was dull as s%!~, and I stopped reading it.

Can I say how much I dislike the word "hero" to describe a long sandwich? It is the Long Island word of choice, and I just can't handle it.
However, I never miss an opportunity to respond to the question, "Which order were you waiting for?" to respond, "I'm holding out for a hero" with a straight face. Remarkably few people pick up on the Bonnie Tyler reference. It doesn't stop me from doing it each and every time.
Also, can we agree that whether you call it a sub, a hero, a grinder, or whatever, it does not meet the criteria until you put something on the bread? The bread by itself is a roll, but if I go to a bakery and ask for a roll, they will say, "Do you mean a hero?"
To which I heave a sigh and respond, "Yes. I am holding out for a hero."
'Grinder' always threw me. I picture teeth squeaking together hard at each bite and it sets my hair on end.

Oh I forgot to mention, we wrapped up the adventure Headless last night and the reward was "the PC's hearts desire" given to them by their deities. The results of this wishfest? The Bards father was retconned back to life, the Fighters girlfriend is now pregnant, the Rogues entire race(tibbit) was altered to be "more human", and the Sorceress (and by extension her wife too) is dealing with her immaculate conception.
Helluva game I got going on.

The seedling (named Lauralia) was to be planted there in exchange for a piece of crystallized primal chaos energy called the Chrysagmir, which the party will now try and use to heal Yggdrasil of a necromantic canker she has developed due to unknown forces...

By the way, thanks for your help on the grey jester conversion all that time ago. I wound up changing one or two pieces to fit the campaign, and he was one round away from killing PC (and would have if he hadn't gotten sneak attacked once and critted twice that round).

My party just exploded some boggards, negotiated with kobolds, and bound a mite by making it make a promise (three of them!) thrice and thus binding it to its word.
The kobolds will likely become useful allies if the party is successful in their ensuing mission. The mite proceeded to whine at them incessantly for the five hours it was forced to serve as their guide.

I meant to type up the campaign info for my new PBP tonight, but still didn't happen. This ear infection is kicking my butt. At least I have all the info compiled now. Time for some sleep.
Kidlet's last day of third grade is tomorrow. Hopefully he'll make it through the half day. He got really bad sunburn the other day on a class trip to the swimming pool and it's at the blistering stage. Poor kid. He's never been badly sunburnt before so the whole thing is quite a shock to him. And next time he'll actually wear sunscreen. (I sent it with him, but he chose not to use it.)
Morning folks! Great day at the second job yesterday overall, both in the office and in the field. A drunk young woman came up to me and said that I looked "very handsome in my glasses", which was awesome. I think I'm enjoying this new razor, it rips up the back of my head a bit, but its smoother overall and more affordable than the multi-razor heads I was dropping serious money on.

Nothing like a young drunk women to help with the ego. Sounds like a great start to your day.
I bought a safety razor heavy type that I can buy simple straight razors to put into has saved me a bundle on razors. And I get a wonderful shave still. It was just more costly up frount but I will keep the darn thing forever now.
Can you link me to a pic of your heavy razor and what straight razors you use? I know I'm at the lower end in terms of quality here. At least I think I am.

I've been thinking of starting a PbP for a while, set in a setting of my own creation. How much world-info do you lot think it'd be necessary but not overkill to include in any campaign info?
I've got ridiculous amounts in my head, but I don't think the familial ties between the ruling dynasty and the king two countries over is that critical to character creation.
