Two New Venture Captains!

Pathfinder Society

Hi everyone,

It's been a couple of months since I've been able to write the words "More Venture Captains" but I'm proud to announce that 2 more fine individuals have accepted the job!

Steve Miller (raleighventurecaptain@gmail.com) will be our Venture Captain in the Raleigh North Carolina area. He's been organizing PFS events for some time now and we're more than pleased to have him aboard.

Jason Roeder (kikai13@yahoo.com)will be our Venture Captain in Missouri. Based in Colombia he'll be covering the state plus the city of St. Louis. He came highly recommended and is ready to hit the ground running.

I'll have some more announcements concerning additional Venture Captains soon, so keep an eye on this space!

Hyrum.

Huzzah!

I had the pleasure of GMing for Steve at Gen Con '10. His paladin seemed nervous for some reason... >:)

Jason has been my Avatar twin for quite some time now and I'm looking forward to meeting him at PaizoCon this year.

Congrats to both of you guys!

Grand Lodge 2/5

Congrats Steve and Jason and welcome!

The Exchange 5/5

Both have been de facto Venture-Captains for a while, and it is good to see their contributions finally recognized. Welcome to the table, gentlemen. Wait 'til you see the executive bathroom at the Grand Lodge, it will knock your boots of speed off :)

Grand Lodge 4/5

Welcome aboard. Steer clear of the .... others .... who won't take their shadowy cloaks off when they enter the Grand Lodge. I'm not sure what is up with them.

Congrats Guys!! Both well deserved, and I am sure you will do a great job!

I am still Surprised no one from Texas has applied...

The application process still the same from when Josh first put it out?

Yes, nothing has changed. I think it's the convention attendance requirement that is deterring people from applying. Many are already serving their communities as de facto VCs, they just haven't taken the final step of applying for the job. Houston needs a VC, but if Shackleton is King of Canada, why can't Dragnmoon be Generalisimo of Texas? Are you goin' somewhere else? Diego Garcia?

I am staying here, not going anywhere. The "De Facto" VCs I have talked to all say the same, they can't do the Con attendance part, and I am the only one that can. But that said, San Antonio was not on the list of Cities Josh was looking for a VC, though the Main Organizer in Austin and I have been working on Joining our Communities, we recently started scheduling around each other so San Antonio Players and Austin players can play in each other’s events.

Edit: Once again Congrats!

I could use a Generalisimo of Tejas and he wouldn't have to be from Austin to get the job.... :)

Columbia, Missouri wasn't on the list of cities that Josh was interested in but Jason Roeder was able to put it on the map. I'm just pointing that out...

Maybe I should move to Texas. Not like I could be a VC w/o moving anyway!

Spoiler:
I'd rather live on the surface of the Sun than Texas and...

Spoiler:
I'd rather live in Texas than be a VC. ;-)

Spoiler:
EXPLOSIVE RUNES!

As the VC of ALL of Missouri, I hope to see Jason Roeder at Brewfest or Cape Comic Con when we get those planned out! Missouri is a big state for one person to cover.

No more central location to attempt it than Columbia, though. As a KC native, I await news from Jason that he's made the two hour trek on I-70 and gotten some stuff jumpstarted on my home turf.

Congrats, especially to Jason, since he happens to share my name and will be running things for my state as well. See you at Cape ComicCon??

He's taken a darker path since encountering the terrors of Kyle. The Hellknights offered him the protection he sought.

Hey Steve,

It is good to see a VC closer to Virginia now than previously. On that note, I am guessing it is way to late to try and organize anything for a convention the last weekend of this month? :)

Grand Lodge 3/5

Congrats and welcome, Steve and Jason!!

Please be a little more careful with your comments.

I wouldn't want the wrong Shackleton thinking he was royalty.

So the 'K' in your name doesn't stand for 'King'?

Shoot me an email and let me know what you have in mind.

Dark Archive

Thanks to you all for your welcoming! I actually missed this announcement for a while, as I was down in Springfield trying to stir up some Society love there. I will do everything I can to make it to as many conventions as possible, and eagerly anticipate Missouri becoming a monster hotspot for the Pathfinder Society!

Hyrum, You do realize that St. Louis is ALREADY a part of the state of Missouri. :) It isn't a separate entity.

Now had Hyrum said Kansas City, the statement could have been correct because of Kansas City, KS. :)

If only the Missouri governing body felt the same way... as it is St. Louis IS Missouri! ;)

At least it isn't as bad as Illinois and Chicago.

Wait, I thought St. Louis was the name of our state.... =)

Definitely want to echo the welcomes! The more VCs we have, the better we can make PFS across the country :)
