Crtitical Hit & Fumble Tables

Homebrew and House Rules

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I had some old crit/fumble tables that I've had around forever (probably since AD&D1) and I decided to convert them to be more 3.5/PF friendly and share them.

Feel free to use them. Might need some tweaking. I've only made a couple of passes over it but I've changed a lot.
Let me know what you think.

I converted it to normal text, because I have excel, and some don't.

You're gonna have a lot of one-legged, one-armed, characters wearing eye-patches.

Those are pretty spiffy tables. Thanks. We use the Critical Hit Deck and Critical Miss Deck from Paizo.

I think you're players are gonna need some serious health insurance!! Those are brutal! Nice!

Thanks for sharing!

Have Fun out there!!

We've been using the tables I converted this from for many many years and the cutting off of body parts actually doesn't happen very often to the players. That might be because we mostly played higher level characters though and when bad stuff happened we had access to good healing magic.

I'm actually a fan of the idea of lost body parts though. It makes for situations in which the DM can invent new magic items and such.

You need a replacement arm? Well the bard here heard a story of a magical arm that you can quest for to attach to your stump!

You're a Half-orc who just lost his eye? Consider the Eye of Gruumsh prestige class. You don't need to cut your own eye out now. :D

OH BTW. If you don't have EXCEL, then download Open Office. It's free and it will allow you to read excel files and word documents.

Go-limbs!! Replacement limbs made a la golems. Wasn't that in a Dragon issue?

Golem grafts made characters evil.
I prefer cyber psychosis. The more flesh gets replaced, the less humanity. They tend to think everyone should go golem. Unlike Golems they can't be controlled.
