Frankly you have no business criticising Barak Obama.

1. You Voted for him
2. You Didnt bother to Vote

If any of these categores indicates your behaviour at the last US election then it is your fault that you wound up with a bad government. Your Fault. Take Responsibility for your own actions. The other guy was crap by comparison. Boo! Hoo!

Yes Every citizen has the right to represent themselves in parliament. Fine you want Seats for every citizen in Parlaiment? Then you Run For Local Government (Mayor) on this policy of Government Reform. Local Governments will require the direct and regular approval of Every citizen. Get off you bum and get involved. It is your responsibility to do so.

Now go fetch me some more Oil from Afghanistan.

By that same measure, you have no business criticizing President Obama's critics. :)

The President is an employee of the US citizens. He works for us, whether an individual voted for him or not. Therefore, he should expect feedback, including criticism, from his employers.

You, as a non-US citizen, don't seem to have any problem offering criticism of the US government, its policies, or its people... why do you get to flap your bonebox when the rest of us don't.

If a discussion crosses the line, please flag it and move on. Otherwise, I'd suggest you just ignore those threads.

How do you know we don't? There is more to keeping things running smoothly than through the government, especially through local volunteering. And regardless of how it works in Dingo Land, most of us are us busy juggling family, the home, and one or more jobs.

The proper response would be "Rack off, knocker, isn't there a koala you should have a naughty with? Mind your own bizzo, mate."

Down here in Australia it is compulsory for all eligible citizens to vote in federal elections. Indeed, you can be hit with a hefty fine if you don't cast a vote. There is periodic debate about whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. On the one hand, it ensures that everybody has some responsibility for the choice of government, but on the other hand it means that some people just tick a random box to get it over and done with. In fact, the level of informal votes in the last election was unusually high because many people wanted to express their disgust with both of the major parties....

Still working on my mayoral candidacy. I'm a gunna win landslide.

I am not a die-hard supporter of Obama, and I'm a registered independent.

I am a little freaked out by just how impatient Americans are being. We are still experiencing an economic crisis that shook the entire world. At the end of 2008, everyone agreed it was going to take years to recover.

And yet, somehow, this is now Obama's fault? That's what I don't get. Yes, we can fault him for not having fixed all of the country's problems yet, I suppose. But there wasn't (and still isn't) a quick solution to any of this.

The democratic congress is useless it's true. If I had my druthers, it would be a moderate republican president and a moderate liberal congress — that's the only combination that gets anything done in this country without screwing everything up.

But even one paragraph after wishing for a republican president, I'll say this: if you think this economy is Obama's fault, you have the memory of a goldfish. If we put the GOP back in place after what they did with this decade, we deserve the pain we're setting ourselves up for.

I wish we could get moderates in power in the mediated age — you know, those guys who would occasionally work together in our interest? I miss them.

Hey Dingle, you spelled Obama's name wrong. It's Barack with a 'c'.

And FYI, we have a little thing called the First Amendment in this country. It allows us to criticise whomever we want. So we don't really give two figs if you are tired of the criticism. It's not even your government anyway. If you don't like it, why not spend your time in other pursuits? No one is forcing you to read it.

As for criticism, I criticised Obama from the campaign straight through to his presidency. I always considered him an empty suit of useless demagoguery and false promises, and I still do. I didn't vote for him in 2008, and barring some economic miracle I doubt I'll vote for him in 2012.

Liberty's Edge

Obama could throw a bunch of puppies in a river and I would still vote for him again.

I'd say I have a mix of conservative and liberal views, but the right-wing noise machine has been so sanctimonious since 9/11 and so bigoted since Obama came on the scene that I sincerely hope the GOP dies of old age before it ever sits in the White House again.

I don't think most people are upset because he hasn't fixed everything. Most people knew then it would take time, and still know that now. The problem is with every move he makes it seems things are getting worse... or he does nothing about it at all. The economy isn't Obama's fault. It took us decades to set us up for this. But now that we know which direction is the wrong one, why does he continue to lead us down that way.

I Care not If you think you reside at the top of the mountain that is the Universe and wash your piccolo in the source of the river from which the rest of us slake our thirst, you will still be held acountable for what flows downstream.

Criticise Obama not, for you stand not as his equal in accountability when your state commits economic genocide either abroad or at home. If every American wishes to be considered other, then let them all stand trial for the crimes of their few and their one. Until then be silent and cower beneath the dirtied skirts of you mothers where you might pray for anonymity from the hail of fortunes arrows.

I think this thread exemplifies why civilised folks have the rule that politics and religion are not debated at social occasions :)

... and I reckon a role-playing board classes as a social gathering.

Jesus loves me! this I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong;
they are weak but He is strong.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! loves me still,
'tho I'm very weak and ill,
that I might from sin be free,
bled and died upon the tree.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! He who died
heaven's gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
let His little child come in.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! He will stay
close beside me all the way.
Thou hast bled and died for me,
I will henceforth live for Thee.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me when I'm good.
When I do the things I should.
Jesus loves me when I'm bad,
but it makes him oh so sad.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

I love Jesus, does He know?
Have I ever told Him so?
Jesus likes to hear me say,
That I love Him every day!

Yes, I love Jesus!
Yes, I love Jesus!
Yes, I love Jesus!
In prayer I tell Him so.

(Thanks to Lois & Lee for suggesting this verse!)

Now you've heard the true story,
How Jesus died for you and me.
Accept Him in your heart today,
Then in heaven with Him you'll stay!

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me this I know
And I pray to Him alone.
And His light shines through in me
For God's people to all see!

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

(Thanks to Nyasha for sharing this verse with us!)

Jesus knows me, this I love,
All great things are from above;
Though I sin, the Lord forgives,
That is why I’m glad He lives!

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

(Thanks to Eric L. Zancanella 2001 for creating these verses and sharing them with us!)

Jesus hears the prayers I groan,
Speaks for me at our God’s throne;
His love helps me to comply,
Yes, the Lord is my supply.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus love me!
The Bible tells me so.

(Thanks to Eric L. Zancanella 2001 for creating these verses and sharing them with us!)

Jesus loves me this I know.
It's thicker than a sheet of snow.
He loves me, that's why he died.
If I was there I would cry.

Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
Yes Jesus loves me,
So much, he died for me.

(Thanks to a viewer for sending this in!)

Jesus loves me, this I know.
For he died His love to show.
When I know he took my sin,
He forgives and saves me then.

Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus love me.
He took away my sin.

(Thanks to Janice for sending this verse in!)

Jesus, take this heart of mine,
Make it pure and holy thine;
On the cross you died for me,
I will try to live for Thee.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

(Thanks to Carlos for sending this verse in!)

Jesus died upon the tree
Yes He died for you and me
But he did not stay that way
No, He rose again this day!

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Obama sucks.period.
Waiting till 2014 for more of the health care bill for adults to come into effect is stupid for us middle aged folks, more than 3 years from now with rising costs to keep us warm.

Allowing medical companies to "re-evaluate" and raise their prices now that part of this plan is going into effect should have been forseen by the powers that be.

Im betting Obamas aides just toss papers on his desk and say "just sign here sir" and he smiles and says "sure thing". He's an idiot.

Just my 2gp on the health care crap.... but Im staying away from the rest of this thread.
