Yeah, I love how you have all posted your montage cut scenes.
It makes me happy as a DM.
In other stuff, my FLGS finally got my order of Dresden Files RPG delivered. I'm going through the main book for the rules.
I have other Fate/Fudge games like ICONS rpg and Starblazer Adventures on my shelf; so, I understand the core idea of FATE and am interested in how they adapted it to the Dresdenverse.

So, should I just bite the bullet and spend a feat to pick up a ranged form of combat? maybe pistols or somesuch?
You could do that or many Jedi pick up some form of ranged force power or a force power like surge that improves their movement.
I'm sure some of the other GM's could give you ideas.
| HK-33 |
Throw lightsaber talent? Redirect shot? Move object? Force lightning? Ranged weapon from the simple proficiency type? Ballistakinesis? Combustion? Draw closer? Fold space? Force blast? Force storm? Kinetic combat? Surge?
There are lots of options for both bringing the enemy to you, getting to them, and attacking from range.
Jedi with poisoned repeater crossbow = win.

I had a jedi in a group once that liked to make bundles of two out of the grenades he found on his enemies, then just roll a use the force check to hit them with them. I allowed it because it was inventive and at the end of the day not that game breaking.
Or pulling the pins on them...
Would that count as someone holding them (opposed check like a disarm)?

Is it some kind of typo that Force Training is not a Jedi Bonus feat? I don't see it on the list, but if it were, then I could alleviate my ranged issue with some force powers.
It's not, it's like that to stop Jedi taking Force Training at every bonus feat and having over 9000 powers.

Skill Focus is a Jedi bonus feat. You are almost at second level, Kidd.
Tell you what, if you want (when you do your 2nd level modifications), I'll allow you to swap your Skill Focus in Use Force from your Bonus pick at level 1 to your Jedi Bonus Feat at level 2. You can then choose Force Training as your Level 1 choice.
We'll say that as you recover some of your memory that you have realized that you not only know how to Use the Force but have started to recover the knowledge of some of the usages that you 'used' to know before the memory wipe.
This is your first time running a Saga character so I'm willing to give a bit of wiggle room since you didn't know all the rules and build components. I mean at 2nd level, your character will be fundamentally the same power as if you had built it the other way.
Sound good?

I'm fine dropping combat. I'm only hoping we can create the illusion of a legitimate reason we would be in here - on the off-chance that we're recognized or caught on camera. (I mean, more than we already have been.)
The only reason i thought to plant some explosives here was to mask our entrance. If we planted them by the holes we cut, I was hoping it would make it somewhat harder to figure out how we got in... making it look like some side-effect of the external "space explosion" had made it's way here. Then we could (if it caused any chaos) hopefully slip into the locations we want to be in.
This is making a few assumptions, though, and I'm up for whatever.

I believe our cover is already blown. I say press forward to get into optimal distance for planting the droids. I'm not sure what an explosion here would achieve, I'd reckomend planting the explosives at a spot that will bring security rushing to it while we rush in the other direction. Could this be such a spot?

Ooh.. i'm fine turning this into a run'n'gun situation. :)

The explosives were just distractions anyway. I had thought to put countdown timers and various doodads that made them look like they were boobytraps, making the bomb disposal guys waste a lot of time.
I don't know if I explained that in detail or not.

Works for me. Your a PC and I'll allow you to say that you know how to design your explosives since you're trained in Mechanics.

I love that moment in every game (and it pretty much happens in every game) where the PC's go from heroes to bumbling idiots.
oh well.... knock'em out?
One of my favourite parts of Star Wars, New Hope, is Han's attempt to bluff security in the detention block. It is a nice reminder that not all rogues have taken the bluff skill.

This is probably already understood, but i'll just make sure... i'm gonna wait to see what happens to Vash and our hosts before i post actions for Kidd.
Fine by me.
I've posted that the security group is down.
The other train cars have people in various stages of emergency aid and recovery. No one appears to be paying the group any attention at the moment as they're trying to triage at the moment and figure out who needs medical assistance first and how badly.
BTW everyone should take 1 Dark Side Point for the level of misery and death that you feel throughout the station. I am just giving 1 point to everyone as you weren't deliberately meaning to harm so many people but you can all draw a connection between your actions and what occurred.

Thanks. How are Hit Points handled for leveling up?
