1) Probably not.
2) Probably not.
3) That'd be the plan!
4) Yes. All dragons have a chance of being encountered there. The first world doesn't really keep any one type of creature out, really, except probably undead.
5) Unrevealed. Probably from the First World though.
6) None we've really done so far. Men in Black work best, in my opinions, with conspiracy or modern settings. Not a lot of that going on in Golarion.
7) Unrevealed. There are certainly levels of power among the deities though.
8) That's a chicken or the egg question. No one knows. Not sure anyone CAN know.

And the chicken and the egg question is easy to answer if you simply work out what question is actually being asked (Eggs are older than chickens. If it means a chicken egg is it defined as a egg that will hatch a chicken or an egg layed by a chicken?)
There are absolutely conspiracies in Golarion. Just not the type that would suggest men in black.
I mean... men in black wear black suits and sunglasses. That's what they are. They're anachronistic by their very nature. And as such are simply not a good fit for Golarion.

The problem with City of Seven Spears wasn't that it was a sandbox... it was a poor matching of theme to author.
We will do big sandbox things again... but we just have to make sure it's the correct author for the job, pretty much.

The pentomic Order of the God Claw extols variations and virtues of five lawful deities, distilling select tenets into a dogma far from any one god’s faith. Although the God Claw venerates aspects of Abadar, Asmodeus, Iomedae, Irori, and Torag, it is unclear from which of these gods it draws its power; indeed, it is possible that its own convictions grant it divine strength. Where other orders of Hellknights enforce their visions of law out of a sense of duty and grim necessity, the God Claw does so out of religious fervor and a belief that the world must forcibly be set upon a righteous path. The sharp-tongued Lictor Resarc Ountor preaches his order’s iron-shod doctrine from its fortress Citadel Dinyar at the headwaters of the River Iseld.
And I'm not the one building and designing and developing it—that's the design team, and they're certainly keeping an eye on those boards. And hired someone to write it who has a lot of experience with the rules. At this point, we've got a pretty good amount of feedback on the system (including a LOT from our CEO, who is currently running a Kingmaker game)... but more feedback is always welcome.

I've bought two for myself, one for my brother, and one for a friend when he graduated college and am now thinking about buying the PDF so I can put the lite version on my iPad.

We do enjoy talking about the Hellknights. We do have a player's companion about knights coming up... we'll be talking more about Hellknights forever, I suspect, but I can't say for sure when specific elements will have more info provided.

No. That's not what Ultimate Campaign is about at all—Ultimate Campaign is about what happens between the adventures—things like building up kingdoms or running a business or training or the like, and also about how you build characters for campaigns.
There's robots in the upcoming Inner Sea Bestiary though.

The value of the Men in Black as bad guys is, in my opinion, tied up in their fantasy anacronisms.
A sort of inquisition type organization that goes around doing similar things would absolutely be cool, and there are plenty of places in Golarion where this element makes sense. The Gray Gardeners of Galt, for example. But they're different enough from "Men in Black" that I wouldn't even use them as comparisons, and would instead draw inspiration from real world secret societies from the past.

On one hand... 2 is too many because you can only read one thing at a time.
On the other, a billion isn't enough because we like selling books. :-P
Is there going to be the equivalent of a 4th harcover next year (like ISWG in 2010, the Beginner Box last year, and RotR Anniversary Edition this year)? And if so around what time will it be announced?

Each year I hope we get a "breather" year—a year where we don't add on an additional hardcover or hardcover-equivilnent. With the Beta, the Core Rulebook, the Inner Sea World Guide, the Beginner Box, and then this year the Runelords hardcover, we've gone 5 years without seeing my dream come to pass.
Will that finally happen in 2013? We'll see!
Something like that always falls outside of established product lines, though, and as such it's not something we can really predict with any degree of accuracy when we might announce something like that.

I updated my old, tattered first edition print to a shiny new 5th Edition print, in part to give my players an extra book at the table and also because I wanted it in writing that the Arcane Archer didn't have a racial requirement anymore. :)

Did you maked an archetype in the AP, UC, UM or in some other book?
If so what is your personal philosophy in designing archetypes.
I've actually not created any of the archetypes in the hardcovers. I've designed a few for the Campaign Setting line though.
My personal philosophy is to build archetypes that enhance roleplay opportunities and provide a fun new mechanic to take a class in a direction away from what it normally does, often in a more specialization-focused role. Also... I prefer archetypes that swap out 1st to 10th level powers, since I kinda think that once you're above that, prestige classes are the better way to go for further specializations.

Honestly... I'm not really eager to reprint any of the APs at this point... but if the stars came right I'd love to Pathfinderize Age of Worms or Savage Tide...

Alright, well, see, I studied cosmology a little bit, and I happen to acatualy know what kind of distance does "being in the milky way galaxy" means. fact is, the distance from earth surface to the moon is *large*. the distance from earth to the sun is more than most people are able to imagine. I mean in in the literal sense. the diameter of the milky way is about 35 kilo-parsec. each parsec is about 200 thousand times the distance between the earth and the sun, which in itself is 150 billion meters (that's about 2 million times as much as earth's radius).
the short version is, the milky way is about 140 thousand light years long. it's also very thick.
final point: Golarion could be a few star systems away and that will be so absurdly remote from us that not we neither they will ever know about it. The only possible telling way to know where Golarion is would be if they saw a complelty diffrent night sky.
So obviously Golarion *could* be in an entirely diffrent Galaxy... but it really dosen't have to. being in the milky way galaxy is not being close to earth. at all.

In Dungeon, what would have been the theme, and if you can even venture a name for the AP following Savage Tide? What would be the theme of the next AP after that one as well?
In your Demonomicon of Iggwilv articles, in order that you would have presented them, name the next five demon prices and lords you would have chosen to write about in Dragon.

Do the psychopomps appear and retrieve them, is there a worry of being held up or stopped by others on the plane itself, and does the soul become a physical petitioner that the other PC's could potentially interact with or even see with the naked eye?

Hey there Folks,
Magical Lineage was never intended as a way for you to actually lower a spell's level. It was put in to allow you to reduce the increase from a metamagic feat. So, no unlimited magic missiles. I will see to it that the language of this ability is clarified soon and I will get this added to the FAQ.

This has been debated on the Forums for some time. Recently this thread was started up in response to a joke post I made on another thread. On the second page, Jason Bulmahn clarified that no you couldn't, and that the future FAQs would change the wording to make the intention clearer.

Nope, because darkness is a more powerful effect than light, and because not everything in the game needs or deserves to be "balanced" thematically by having the opposite ability of similar creatures.

Alas, at this point there's not a lot anyone can do... Second Darkness's fate is pretty much determined. We'll see what the future brings 5, 10, or 20 or more years down the road though...

No need for nerd rage. I know that the Milky Way is huge. And I also know that The universe is even larger than that. But the fundamental laws of reality work so differently on Golarion than they do here on Earth that it makes sense to me that it'd be close to unimaginably far away, in a part of the universe where things are very different. The Milky Way is vast, but it's still too local for my tastes for Golarion.

Really great products Next off, apart from the brief reference in Book of the Damned, Lords of Chaos, is there any other information on the nascent demon lord Shamira? If so where should I be looking. If not, are there any plans to cover her in more detail? I know it's rumoured she is related to Sarenrae in some way, but she also seems similar (or at least her unholy symbol does!) to a Peri. Is she a fallen angel?

Had Dungeon remained in print and continued to be published by Paizo, the next AP we were tentatively planning on doing was going to be the one that ended up being Legacy of Fire. At that point in time we used the code-name of "Genie War" for the Adventure Path; the magazines got cancelled before we got far past that.
Legacy of Fire is a pretty unusual AP in several ways, since it deviates from the expected norm in the game of "European medieval swords & sorcery" that D&D and Pathfinder assume as the baseline. So when we switched to Pathfinder, we also kind of had to switch back to "safer" and "more comfortable" locations for a few Adventure Paths to re-build the trust in our customers that if we DID go afield, say, into genie wars or other exotic plots, that we weren't abandoning the setting tropes that the majority of the games' players prefer.
I actually DID write a Graz'zt article for the online Dragon—but had things continued beyond that, the next five demon lords would have been:
Obox-ob
Juiblex
Orcus
Yeenoghu
Pale Night
At which point all of the demon lords from Fiendish Codex I would have been covered. That I couldn't get all of them before the magazines went away kind of still saddens me today (especially in the case of Obox-ob...the demon lord that I did the most creative work on building up from scratch... but at least the second in line after him, Malcanthet, got in print!).

I am a neut/evil drow and adventure with a grumpy troglodyte barbarian, capacious goblin rogue and wise drugar cleric looking for loot and glory I always run across groups of over world npc casting light willy nilly and I personally feel discriminated against at my RAW inability to shape the world to my liking. Its so difficult for me and mine to invade an over world castle in the dead of night with infinite castings of darkness to protect our sensitive eyes from the torches and spells littering the night time over world.
even when the top siders enter my caves with no magic they have torches and other such free light-sources and we have no such comparative tool
your discriminating against evil man, and that just aint right. dont you think this should be remedied?

Same thing that happens if a person dies anywhere else. The soul knows how to reach the soulstream wherever it dies—places in the Great Beyond where souls cannot escape are rare, but they do exist (even on the Material Plane). Psychopomps don't actually always have to be there to escort souls... the majority of them focus on guiding souls that are not able to find their way, or helping protect them in the Astral Plane, and so on. For the most part, the initial process of a soul leaving a dead body and entering the Soulstream is instant and automatic.
Me I'm more saddened by Jubilex. It's so weird I bet you'd be able to have a lot of fun with the big evil jelly-blob.
Hint: I'd really like to see more about what the heck is the deal with all these living jellies and puddings slithering all over the place!

Nope. The minimum adjustment to a spell level you can make with something like Magical Lineage is the spell's level. You can't make a spell lower level than it's actual level. The adjustment only adjusts the spell level adjustment itself (which can't go lower than 0), not the actual spell's level.
Magical Lineage therefore doesn't help at all in casting Merciful Spells.

The idea of Golarion being in the same universe as Earth, I suspect was more tongue in cheek than to suggest an actual connection. However if they actually do plan to make a bridging adventure to our world, I suggest they hook up with my friend Robert Schroeck who did the D%D in London adventure for Dragon 100.
It's not tongue in cheek at all. Golarion and Earth have been in the same universe from the start. We've dropped hints as such several times, and I've confirmed this several times on the boards here.
AND! If your friend Robert's interested in writing for Paizo/Pathfinder still... have him shoot me an email! I'd love to chat with him! That adventure from Dragon 100 is a great one!

At this point, what's in Book of the Damned II is all there really is about Shamira in print. She's actually a deity from my homebrew, so I've got PLENTY more to say about her, but not much more yet. I can confirm that she's not a peri, nor is she a fallen angel. Her relationship with Sarenrae is... complicated.
