what will Hardcovers focus on?(besides the Advanced Class Guide/Inner Sea Gods

Mr. James Jacobs,

How many cybernetic implants until your creature type changes to construct?

Are you familiar with WoD The God Machine Chronicle or its related book Demon: The Descent?

I really liked it and am really excited to play one in the future.

The direction of there being a good choice for someone who wants a full BAB and who wants to fight with one weapon and who doesn't want to wear a lot of armor and wants to be very mobile.
Is it possible to get a more detailed idea of the things you thought needed to be tweaked? :P

I'm not sure why you'd want that, unless what you're REALLY asking is, " Can we get a preview of the class?" Which you can not. It's not time yet. Once the book's out, I'll be happy to talk more swashbuckler stuff.

Hardcovers aren't new. I'm talking about the hardcover world-neutral rulebook line; the line of books we started with the Pathfinder Core Rulebook and contains books like the Bestiaries, Advanced Player's Guide, and Ultimate Combat. We've been doing them for years.

The number of cybernetic implants you can have max is set by your Constitution (as a physical limit of what your body can handle) and your Intelligence (as a limit for how much robot parts your brain can handle the control of). You won't become a construct. A cyborg is, by definition, not a construct, because it has to be a living creature with robot parts in it, not a construct with living parts in it.

I'm not familiar with those books.

Awe but I wanted to do the whole transhuman thing into a servitor or construct. ;)

Basically the god machine is a machine on the scale of a lower case g god in the world of darkness that is so powerful and large that most people don't see it and it views people as little more than assests to be used and disposed of done.

Demon is about the servitors of the god machine who rebelled against their creator and how they wage an almost cold war like espionage conflict against the God Machine.

Hey James,

Where can I learn more about the Kusari-Gama? I've only seen them mentioned in the faction guide! They're too cool to not pop up more often.

How would the KG (mainly the LE sects) react to a member leaving or losing faith in the factions goals?

And when they actually find a perfect warrior, how are they preserved? Do they stop aging? or is it closer to a Han Solo type frozen in Carbonite situation?

Thanks for reading.

Atraxia is the current matriarch of House Rhu having taken over the Household since the death of her brother under mysterious circumstances that left no priest willing to raise him once rumors that his death was at the blades of a Red Mantis assasin. Curiously the rumors have also claimed that the Lady Atraxia did not pursue her brother's resurrection with the effort that one would expect. Silencing most such talk has been the continued
health of the late Ton Rhu's son upon whom she has assumed a regency and taken charge of his education. The boy will come into his majority in four years and speculation about that event has quietly surfaced among the nobility.

Proving herself quite the iron fist in the velvet glove, she has made sweeping changes in both her own staff, and the traditional peonage appointments of noble relatives, yanking the late lord's favorites from lucrative colonial holdings and taking personal charge through her own lieutennants. While not possessing much of a personal buisness acumen, she has had a great deal of success in picking capable managers, enough that many believe she gets advice from another, perhaps Hell itself.

Atraxia's aims are no less than avenging the loss of station to her House since the ascendency of House Thrune. She is aware that she plays a game as dangerous as it is deep and will always work out several contingencies before taking an action.

Atraxia can be both a boon and bane to adventurers, offering a connection to high Chelish society. Any adventurer of skill can find work with her, especially those of moral flexibility. She however has little patience for incompetence, or anything that might implicate her, so those who earn her disfavor may find themselves with an unscheduled visitation one night.

Combat tactics: Atraxia is not a willing participant in the vulgarities of physical combat. If forewarned, she will summon devils and overlay the immediate area with Vision of Hell. to disadvantage would be opponents. On siting them her first action, if practical, will be to cast glitterdust to reveal any hidden opponents and hopefully blind her attackers. If her minions do not get the immediate upper hand in the battle, she will dimension step or teleport out of danger and call down local guardians to confront her attackers.

In the new Osirion CS book, in the Sphinx Head entry in mentions Menedes was the Sky Pharaoh, but the Mummy's Mask AP has Hakotep as the Sky Pharaoh. Is this something that will be explored in Mummy's Mask, or is Sky Pharaoh more akin to the Fiend/Radiant/Cerulean/of Numbers titles that the Pharaohs of Ascension went by, or is it a title held by multiple Pharaohs who did something skyward?

They are pretty much only detailed there, I believe. Mostly because they don't have a lot of fans here in the office, I suppose. They're not something we're planning on doing much more with in the future.

As for what they do when they find a perfect warrior, I'm not sure even they know yet. It's kind of more an ideal to aim for than a goal they actually hope to achieve.

I do know how to be silly, yes. Just check the "Ask Merisiel" thread for proof.

The unfortunate thing about being Creative Director is that I have to be VERY pedantic and careful and deliberate about answering questions and what I say online, because the internet is full of folks who not only aren't silly or don't get silly or get confused when someone is silly... there's folks out there who actively oppose Paizo and want to defame us or me or whatever. And I'm not interested in giving them out-of-context quote opportunities. Neither am I interested in saying something goofy and having lots of folks miss the point and assume that a joke I've said is in fact the truth. Especially since, unlike conversations, where words vanish once you speak them... whatever you write on the internet is basically permanent and around forever. One mis-spoken accidental turn of phrase can haunt you forever.

And yes, that's the implication about the ancient gods of Osirion; they moved from Golarion to Earth in the ancient past. I doubt they started at Golarion though.

As for why pre-deity Nethys is purple? A poor choice by an artist and us not having the luxury or time to get it fixed before it had to go to print, I guess. Just as you can have typos in print, you can have art errors in print. We try to minimize both, but we can't stop them all if we want to keep on schedule, unfortunately.

Is it bad then that my goal is to get you to spill the beans on what hasn't been announced? Well being silly about reading into what you do say. :)

4)When will we get a new planer book?

1) It's smaller than Nocticula's realm. It's basically a city-sized Cathedral surrounded by a depraved sylvan wilderness. Each room in his cathedral is dedicated to a different sinful taboo, and each one is less appropriate for us to talk about on these boards. We'd have to go to other places on the internet to talk about that.

2) Seraptis demons, incubi, succubi, half-demons, cambions... and all the others, but those are the main ones.

3) Dunno. I wasn't involved in Arshea's creation. May have just been an oversight; does it specifically say no planar realm? If it doesn't say that, then there is one... we just haven't talked about it yet.

4) When we make another book, I guess.

Not anytime soon.

Kinda, yeah... since another way to phrase "getting me to spill the beans" is to say "trying to get me fired for revealing information I wasn't supposed to reveal."

And in all honesty... you're actually pretty good at sleuthing out future releases, so that when you DO start interpreting things... and when they DO now and then turn out right... that kinda stresses me out as well, since if management sees you post those things, or more to the point, those messages gain traction somewhere and folks start talking more about it... it starts to look like I'm spilling secrets on some level. Which stresses me out even if it doesn't come to that.

A good example of one person's silly being another person's stress.

In some places of the world, yes.

where should we that talk about these sinful taboos at?

and what is the sylvan wilderness like are there towns and city there?(an Abyssal realm is the size of a planet right)

was Acavna good god because the sentience of the Mordant Spire seems kind of evil?

and was Acavna a deity or demigod? it is hard to believe that a deity was killed by a big rock from space

In the future.

Or check out the front cover of Risen from the Sands as it depicts the male half-orc Warpriest and female half-elf (my guess) swashbuckler in action. At least according to F. Wesley Schneider although it's been long suspected those two were the Warpriest and Swashbuckler since it came out.

Are there deities or divine beings dedicated to time, space, gravity, and other metaphysical forces like that?

Are there any deities that don't know that they are deities?

There is no official place for folks to talk about X-rated topics as regards Golarion or Pathfinder content, but they exist out there on the internet if you want to track them down and, of course, you're allowed to by your parents or government or religion or whatever to take part in those kinds of discussions. They can't happen here, though, because of the restriction on that type of discussion on these boards.

Abyssal realms range in size from continents to planets, and perhaps a little bigger or a little smaller in some cases. We haven't said much about the realm surrounding Socothbenoth's central cathedral, mostly because we don't publish porn/erotica. It's one of those cases we need to leave it to the imagination, for better or worse.

It's not evil.

She was a deity, and it wasn't just a big rock from space. And while deities don't have stats, that means what kills them is pretty much whatever we say or need for the story. A god could die of a bee sting if that's the story we wanted to tell.

Yes. Brigh, in fact, is the goddess of time. And Yog-Sothoth is in part associated with these things as well. There are a few others.

Perhaps. That's an interesting idea. It's a philosophical question too. Are you a deity if you don't realize it? Do you have worshipers if you don't realize you're a deity? How can they gain spells from you if you don't know about them? How can you NOT know you're a deity if you DO know you have worshipers who cast spells?

Well I will try to be quieter with my sleuthing, since the point is not to cause you stress or get you fired.

No need to be quieter, really... just try not to make it sound like you have insider information is all. ;-)

The Deity doesn't consciously know, but the subconscious take care of all the divine stuff.

Actually, Chronicle of the Righteous specifically says why Arshea has no planar realm. Arshea, being the blithe spirit of freedom he/she is, roves the cosmos and just crashes at any Empyreal Lord or god's pad she/he happens to be visiting at the time. Sometimes Arshea hangs out at Desna's place, sometimes crashing Cayden Cailean's party, sometimes in Ragathiel's fortress, sometimes in Sarenrae's realm, etc. Vildeis is another Empyreal Lord who does something similar, though for different reasons (she's on a constant, one angel crusade against the multiverse's evil, and thus doesn't have time to maintain a realm).

Huh. I answered a question by James. Where are the flying pigs?!

Have tomatoes been introduced to Avistan from Arcadia at this point in history?
