I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm the sane as I've always been.

The pink tutu and silver tiara make that unnecessary.

Seeing as how Paizo is making a new series of books about the deities, and how they originally appeared in the APs, has any thought been given to doing something similar with the other articles from the APs? Maybe Ecologies books, or new Gazetteers?

If you're talking about the upcoming "Faiths of Purity" book... that book is NOT about the deities. It's about the mortals who worship them, a topic that we haven't done a heck of a lot of discussion of, and CERTAINLY not much about the topic in the venue of the new rules.

Once we finish off all 20 of the deity articles in a few years, we might do a compilation of those articles a year or so after THAT... but the goal is for the "Faiths of Purity" line to supplement, not replace, existing deity information.

Nope. I periodically get annoyed at the East Coast thinking that the world revolves around their time zone when it OBVIOUSLY revolves around the Pacific time zone, but that's a different story.
Then you must think Greenwich mean time is an abomination.

Nah, I'm fine with Greenwich mean time. It's more of an east coast vs. west coast thing in my mind.

This might have been asked already, but do you play any current gen video games?

How fascinating is it that people are concerned about such minutia?

Just because it's been discussed doesn't mean it's on any sort of schedule. Could mean that we've said now and then here, "Wouldn't it be fun to do an aquatic AP?" Or it could mean that folks have discussed about underwater APs on these boards or in the chat room.

In any event, we don't generally say much about an AP until we're starting work on the previous one; we still haven't said what's coming after Jade Regent, for example, and we've only JUST started work on Carrion Crown.

Absolutely. I just finished "Red Dead Redemption" last night, for example, and I've played "World of Warcraft" since it launched. The games I'm looking forward to the most in the immediate future are "Dead Rising 2," "Fallout: New Vegas," and "Dragon Age 2." My current favorite platform to game on is the Xbox360 and Mac, followed by the PS3 and finally the Wii. I used to be heavy into PC gaming, but now all the games I want to play are also available on the Xbox or PS3 or the Mac. I do not regret leaving PCs and Windows behind.

Heya James

Do you prefer James, Jim or JJ - Do you have a nickname?

My group have the attention span of a ferret on speed and its hard to keep them focused on an AP are there any plans to do half paths or shortened paths with the same level of support (players books and the excellent gazetteer articles)?

No plans to do shorter adventure paths. We do, periodically, do connected modules, though.

Would it be possible to do interconnected modules that make use of AP material - ie set an interconnected series in Korvosa or around Sandpoint or in Westcrown so we can make use of the setting books?

Edit: I believe that there is something like this for Kaer Maga?

Players tend become fond of a place and would like to have more to do with it so a one off or serries of modules expanding a city or region already touched on would be very cool.

I'm surprised more 3PPs have not jumped onto the shorter AP bandwagon. Request seems to pop up a lot here on the boards. But IIRC, such adventures are hard to do and not that profitable (Paizo being the obvious exception).

It would... but it's not something we generally want to do. It's hard enough to make all six parts of an AP work together; adding a module in there gets really complex in a lot of ways that make it not worth trying. That said, we certainly will be setting modules in regions where APs have taken place; we did that with a few Kaer Maga adventures already, and we'll be doing more soon.

The fact that there are 6 runelords unaccounted for is very much something that we won't leave alone forever.

Yeah, that bugged me when I first moved here. Thankfully, I never fell into that thinking, since work deals with a lot of different time zones.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't Jade regent technically be a sequel Since

It helps ANYTHING sell better if it's really good. This isn't limited to adventures.

At what stage is Paizo likely to be talking more about Jade Regent? Would this start happening about the time Carrion Crown is released?

UM...It does, as NYC is East Coast, and since it's like the center of the world, we win :) lol.

Correct. Although in the playtest, I played Merisiel, who had only piercing weapons, and Jason's weird obsession with skeletons and other things that have DR against piercing weapons got annoying.

Crypt of the Everflame (like most of our modules) can probably be run through from start to finish in 2–4 sessions. If you put the PCs at the start of the dungeon (and dump the framing story), you can probably make it through one level of the dungeon in one six hour session; that might be a pretty good intro to the hobby.

My own RPG sessions can last from 3 hours to 8 hours. I prefer 6 hour sessions, though.

Perhaps. Although the Castrovel and Akiton natives look more like they stepped off the covers of pulp magazines from the 20s and 30s.

Alan Moor's beard, I bet. It's got more talent.
