I've never been to Minnesota, so why would I mean Minnesota winters?

When I say "winter" I mean "winters as I've experienced them in my life living in northern California and the Pacific Northwest." Lots of rain, some wind, overcast skies, not a lot of snow at all on average, fog and wind. Cool but not freezing temperatures.

West coast/Pacific Northwest winters are one of the many reasons I've lived here all my life and have never been all that interested in moving elsewhere.

So if Crazy Ghost Xin successfully wakens his clockwork army and starts conquering Varisia(and the world!), does he plan to rule those areas or is he mad enough that clockwork contructs basically pull "Let's destroy all meatbags!" thing?

That's not a canonical ending we expect to happen, and as such it's pretty much 100% in the hands of the GM to decide.

If this happened at my table as a result of a TPK from Shattered Star, I'd either ignore the results for future games I run or I would set up the very next campaign to be one where the PCs fight against a growing clockwork army as they try to undo the failures of the prior group.

So Harrow deck of many things in Crimson Throne hardcover, what is difference between The Twin card's duplicate and The Waxwork's cards duplicate? I mean The Twin card creates one opposite alignment duplicate that shows up to work with Ileosa, Waxwork creates 1d6 opposite alignment duplicates around radius of mile where at least one of them will show up to work with Ileosa. So like, is The Twin duplicate only one that comes with copy of PC gear while Waxwork duplicates don't come with any equipment, or is the only difference that you can potentially intercept duplicates from Waxwork before they help Ileosa?

How would you roleplay a PC with low Int and Wis (8 and 9 respectively), but with a 16 Cha?

The twin duplicate manifests like a mirror of opposition and is thus fully outfitted with magical duplicates of the PC's gear. The waxworks duplicates do not come with gear, but there's more of them, and they don't all automatically side with Ileosa.

As a vapid airhead, maybe? A talented actor/actress or singer or musician who's great at performance or art but isn't really that smart or observant, and doesn't pick up on social cues (due to the low Sense Motive). Or as a very likable and well-meaning figurehead type leader who relies upon advisors to make the hard decisions.

If good or neutral, they'd be friendly but kinda goofy and/or dumb or impulsive; a loyal friend who's always making bad decisions.

If evil, as a self-centered egotist who lashes out with style whenever plans fall apart, and who does their best to take credit for others' decisions while making awful ones of their own that they can still convince their followers and admirers are the right ones.

I was wondering why Lamashtu didn't make a bigger push to block Nocticula's ascension (or did she and it was just too late)?

It's not really something she's concerned about, especially since Nocticula has never really directly opposed Lamashtu. I suspect if it were Pazuzu doing this, Lamashtu would have had something to say. But in Nocticula's case... Lamashtu isn't all about being a micromanager and tyrant who demands obedience of her lessers. That's Asmodeus's (Lawful Evil) thing. And in fact, the chaos caused by Nocticula's ascension is probably a desirable thing in Lamashtu's three eyes.

I've known about them since I first learned about them in the early 80s from Deities & Demigods, and have since read all of the Fafhrd/Mouser stories. So, yup. I've met them.

I had a ticket to see it last weekend but had to cancel due to the snowpocalypse. I'm going to try to see it tomorrow or Sunday now, but they're predicting more snow for the weekend. So ... we'll see.

You must be. I'm from Point Arena, California. I've only been to Minnesota once, during a layover on a plane trip from Seattle to Indianapolis one Gen Con many years ago, and as such never got outside even and was only in state for about an hour.

Is there any remarkable relationship between Qlippoth and the Elder Mythos? Did one spawn the other, do they share a common ancestry? Both seem to predate material plane life and probably the pantheon of gods. Both seem to have similar goals of returning the multiverse to a state of nothing or chaos.

Will we ever get a more detailed explanation of who/what the 10 Magic Warriors of Jatembe were, a roster, a more detailed list of their accomplishments, and maybe even statblocks?

In Wrath of the Righteous; Baphomet snatches the Herald of a true god and makes that creature far more powerful than it was previously. Was that just a story thing, or is there an story explanation of how a demon lord empowered a creature beyond what a god did, and is there a limit to how powerful a demon lord can create/empower a creature?

I think I'm cheating the forum rules here but I have a lot of questions about angels and specifically Solars and their relationship to the gods. If you could ramble for a bit about solars in general, that'd be great. I'll repost all this in separate questions if you want but I'd rather just give you some talking points.

Do gods directly empower/sponsor a Solar angel, and is there a limit to how many solars a god can maintain? How many solars exists in the Golarian pantheon; why are solars NOT the "herald" of gods that have them (why are Herald's CR 15 unique creatures when gods could build on a solar/empyrean templates)?

If you were to stat up Arazni prior to her defeat and subsequent lich transformation, would she about the same as she currently is stated? Was she always a Wizard?

Nope. The qlippoth are very much a deep Outer Sphere thing, while the Elder Mythos stuff is mostly Inner Sphere, with a VERY strong focus on the Material Plane (with some Dimension stuff with Dreamlands and Time and Leng). They don't share a common ancestry. They do share a thematic one, though, in that both are inhuman things with weird shapes and associations with chaos and evil.

I don't have much to say about solars. I'm not off the top of my head familiar with what we said about them in Chronicle of the Righteous. I don't think there's a limit to the number that can exist; that was a 1st edition D&D thing, as far as I know. We don't say how many exist in the Great Beyond.

Heralds are what they are, at a CR 15 tier, SPECIFICALLY to make them things that you can conjure via greater planar ally. You can't do that with solars; you need gate to conjure them.

Arazni's "before she was a lich" status is REALLY complicated. Keep an eye out on Tyrant's Grasp for some more hints and info there. I'm not quite ready to talk more about that stuff though, to avoid spoiling some of that Adventure Path before the books are out.

Do you regret adding mythic to the game? Will we see more mythic stuff in the future? Will we ever see official class levels above 20? Do you like extremely high level play?

Is there a particular reason why greater planar ally was set as the benchmark and not Gate? It’s the difference between an 8th and 9th level spell. It still requires the approval of their patron diety regardless to have a herald show up. Maybe Arazni and Hand of the Inheritor wouldn’t have been killed if they were stronger and the clerics calling them a little more powerful/wise/experienced.

What is the significant difference between a diety’s Herald and their Empyrean Paragon angel?

Because gate doesn't really have a top limit, and greater planar ally does, and since it's lower level it'll be cast more often, so all of that made good sense to give that spell an iconic type of creature to conjure.

Arazni and the Hand would still have been killed, since their deaths are ones that we made happen for story reasons.

There's one iconic for every class, but since they stand in for PCs, they could have stats from any level between 1 and 20. We have sample stats for some of them for a few levels as pre-gen characters for organized play, but we don't actually have them set up as recurring characters in the world. That's the job your PCs have in the game.

Just saw it today. Amazing effects, really cool character design, cool actors, loved the design and look of Alita, very well directed...

...but the cringiest and awfullest dialogue and writing I've seen in a movie in a long time. I'd love to see a sequel, but only if they pry the screenwriting out of Cameron's clutches and give it to someone who knows how to write dialogue and non-cliched support characters. The awful writing did a really good job at making me not like the movie overall, which is a shame.

Would you be willing to, and if so please do, rank the following NPC characters at the height of their power (regardless of their current living/dead/absent status, and regardless of whether they would be bbeg) in order of personal power in terms of “end of AP bbeg” from greatest to least:

Xanderghul
Baba Yaga
Nex
Geb
Tar Baphon
Alaznist
Jatembe
Sorshen
Karzoug
Zutha

Paizo drow are taller than humans, right? I can't remember if it was Paizo or D&D drow who were shorter than humans.

You are suddenly transported into Golarion and are gifted with a divine or arcane magic using class of your choice at 20th level. What everyday spells (with any metamagic feat attached) fill your 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th level slots? You have only 19 in INT/WIS/CHR.

Are the Shory analogous to FR's Netheril? Are there any immediate/semi-immediate plans to tell their story in more detail?

Elves (including drow) are a little taller than humans on average in Pathfinder. So are half orcs and half elves. Dwarves, halflings, and gnomes are shorter. Humans are in the middle intentionally.

WOW...I did not expect that ordering at all. Now I have to change and add on to the original follow on questions I was planning on asking. Thank you so much for answering that however, I was really expecting you not to.

So...that really begs the question, what about Alaznist is so interesting to you that you think she should be the quintessential big bad evil wizard of Golarion?

Would you be willing to answer that canonically? What I mean is, would you be willing to rank them in the order you understand them to be canonically positioned currently, allowing for the possibility that future official publication could alter that list?
