Rules Forum Weirdness

Website Feedback

There are three (that I spotted) threads that have a listing of "0" posts, which is odd because the post itself counts as the first post. Weirder still is that when you click on the thread it just brings you back to the Rules Forum.

Anybody know why?

Edit: Make that 5 threads.

Liberty's Edge

Nope, but I wish mine hadn't vanished liked that! :(

I blame the gremlins dressed as gnomes playing at being smurfs....

My personal theory is that it's a minor time/space loop effect brought on by the large Hadron Collider in Europe. I knew that damned thing was trouble!

Liberty's Edge

Clearly Iomedae has forsaken the rules forum...it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Or maybe there was so much heated discussion about the Selective metamagic feat that the forum was infected by it?

At least now we know who the Rules Forum A.I. thinks of as "allies."

And allowed Zon-Kuthon to work his tender magic on us...

Its been happening for days, and not just in the rules forum.

Hmmm. Seems to have corrected itself. Shame. I was kinda enjoying the mystery.

The Proteans did it.

And it was just the start.

Expect to click on the forums and end up in the sleazy part of craiglist, or 4chan.

Or whatever you write will be shouted by a train as it collides with a river of rice in mid-air.

The problems aren't only in the Rules Forum. The whole Messageboards are pining for the fjords today...

PINING FOR THE FJORDS?

They're not pining! They've passed on. These boards are no more. They have ceased to be. They have expired and gone to meet their maker. They're a stiff! Bereft of life! They rest in peace! If you hadn't bookmarked them they'd be cluttering the recycle bin! Their traffic are now history! They're off the web! They've kicked the bucket, they've shuffled their mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleeding Choir Invisible!

THESE ARE EX-MESSAGEBOARDS!!!!

I got a slug.

Sorry I missed this thread earlier -- I've moved it to website feedback now.

We've been testing a rewrite of the messageboards code over the past week or so and there have been some... anomalies... which I hope have now been fixed.

Dark Archive

I've tried creating a thread in the Rules section 3 times, and the thread got eaten.

My new thread for the Advice forum never appeared after sending it.

I've fixed your thread.

General oddness today. My main PbP thread disappeared, much to the horror of me and my players, but thankfully it re-appeared before we panicked entirely. Also, dotting seems to not be working on some forums, in particular the Serpents Skull forum for me.

I have a M&M PBP on the boards based on that...

I've poked your threads. Somehow they got sent to the archives, but you should be able to navigate to them via your recent posts tab.

I believe thats what happened with my PbP too. A player made, edited and then deleted a post and it was gone, with our bookmarks no longer working to find it.

Ah OK. Thread creation and post deletion are both borked. Reverting to old code for now...
