Two shields for double the shield bonus?

Rules Questions

Is it possible to wield two shields at once and gain the AC bonus from both?

I guess even if you can't it would be pretty awesome to be a fighter with two spiked shields. Get all of the feats in the shield mastery tree, and weapon focus/specialization in spiked shield. Two-weapon fighting, improved/greater bull rush.

You would be bull rushing everyone all the time.

Two Shield bonuses cannot stack. Like wise you cannot gain two weapon defense while wielding a shield.
*Edited* You just described my insane dwarf (He has no beard).

No, as they are both shield bonuses and do not stack.

Well technically he could have two-weapon defense if wielding the shield as a weapon by losing the original shield bonus, but I am sure there is a better feat for that.

No, two shield bonus don't stack, because bonus of the same name don't stack.

However, figthing using two shields may be possible. A spiked shield isn't so bad as a weapon, and you don't need to spend feats on a melee weapon, just spend feats for the shields attacks and use the spare feats on something else. Also, 2 shields are cheaper than a shield + weapon.
Furthermore, you can't be disarmed if all you use are shields. Well, you can't drop a shield using a free action, but if you use ligth shields (and you should do imo) you won't need to drop the shield to manipulate most objects.

It may not be an overpowered build, but it may work. Have to think more about it.

But don't Enhancement Bonuses stack?

So 2 magical shields, you wouldn't get the shield bonus, but if they were both +3 shields would you get the benefit of both +3 bonuses?

That wouldn't work either. TWD provides a shield bonus, therefore would not stack.

Where did you get that idea? No, enhancement bonuses do NOT stack.

An Enhancement bonus is not a bonus type... a large steel shield with a +3 enhancement bonus gives you a +5 SHIELD bonus.
