Slightly off topic, but who here would just explode into happiness and win if Paizo ever used one of their characters, feats or campaign blogs as one of their own campaign arcs? I, for one, would just about burst with pride. All any of us would really ask is just to be mentioned in a foot-note in the Pathfinder module, I think!

I'm not mentioned by name in any Paizo stuff (The Book of Eldritch Might is another matter ;-)), but there is some of my personal stuff in there. Of course, it probably is just a case of convergent development: Rules changes Paizo did I had as house rules that just made sense that way.

I'm too nice for my own good.

Is some of this stuff available as a demo? Sample chapters maybe? I shied away from those books because of the name, but I'm willing to look whether you fulfill Malhavok's Rule.

Hey KaeYoss,

What's your email address? I'll send you some free stuff as well. :)

Hyrum.

(And what about the name don't you like?)

The Exchange

You can also get a nice preview of SGG content on d20pfsrd.com. We've been doing a 3PP Star of the Month program for the last two.5 months and SGG is selected for July. Hyrum was very kind in suggesting some content to highlight, and I have posted much of it.

You can see some of it here.

The Ice Magic stuff has been merged into the site where appropriate.

Liberty's Edge

I agree that there was a lot of junk put out by Third Party Publishers during the D20 Boom days but things have changed quite a bit.

As others have said, some of the Pathfinder Third Party stuff is pretty darn good. Open Design / Kobold Quarterly is a great example of high quality Pathfinder content as is the work being done by Super Genius.

As to the original post, which we seem to have thankfully moved away from ... it's interesting that the original poster seems to have flown the coop, which is probably for the best in this case :)

That is a great idea! I figure a cool $500 million or so should do the trick! Let me know when you have the money lined up for transfer to my account! :)

-Lisa

500 mil, eh? That sounds like fair market value for a giant purple golem! I'll keep saving up my pennies and I'll let you know.

Piazo can I have a pretty pony? You'll pay for shipping, right?

Your pony is in the mail. I may have forgotten to punch air holes in the box, though. And I may have put a pony-eating spider in there. Can't remember.

I think it would be hilarious if you actually mailed him a box with a spider in it.

Nope; it has to be big enough to use swallow whole on that pony. Postage is expensive for that kind of shipment.

You sure you didn't ship that to Sebastian James?

Just post the stuff on the messageboards.
If people on Pazio's staff suggest changes, then implement them.
You may be surprised.
I suggested greater enlarge should be 5 spell levels higher, and someone said, no, just 4. So greater enlarge would be 5th level, and tripple enlarge would be Epic.
Note that I haven't read all the flaming yet so I may be behind the curve.

That is very likely, because I haven't seen Sebastian post anything for some time...

That's because you've not been looking in the right threads, you silly, bearded moomintroll. (Or however it's spelled in the language of people who can't pronounce u properly.)

Regarding that, the Biting Wind spell is listed as a 1st level spell on the page listing the spells in the product, and as a 0 level spell in the actual description. Is that a transcription error or a straight-up copy of a textual error in the product?

Grand Lodge

Biting wind as a 0 level spells would be kinda uber as it continues to attack for 1d6 a round for 10 rounds per caster level...in fact that's kinda strong for a first level spell.

Iceschockle is another odd spell. It says that you can't do somatic because one hand is covered in ice, but you only need one hand free to do somatic component for spells. It also creates a fairly ludacris weapon. While the caster only makes it not so bad now, any ability to spell channel will make this spell broken (i.e. you allow the spellsword of 3.5 or use the PF conversion that's floating around...or paizo publishes such ability later in time).

Avalanche's unlimited range is umm...broke. Yeah I realize that other 9th level spells are broke too, but we don't need too add to the scry and die playbook here.

Algrid aura...yikes! Yeah once again, better if you can spell channel on a fighter...but even on the caster, that is pretty big power creep. I won't say broken...but that is power creep.

And then there is some pretty underwhelming spells...

But then again such happens with any splat books...offical or not. But honestly from the stuff on the link, I am somewhat underwhelmed at the level of rules issues.

Sure, If I had a nickel for every time a publisher told me that!

Wait a minute I can think of mean stuff to say too !

Give me the free stuff you monkey, I won't hold grudges if you don't, to be honest I will have to try some stuff from 3rd party publishers, but my experiences with 3.x material haven't been great sofar. Most of it is just terribly outbalanced and lacking in flavor.

I absolutely got nothing (useful)to add to this thread, just browsing, must be bored today xD

Well, if you get free stuff by just giving an email address, I wonder what you get when you've already bought a product and give your email address?

I seriously went about this the wrong way. Here i was singing sgg's praises and purchased the overwhelming majority of their products. Man did I call that one wrong :P
