Wusses. Anything less than 3 feet is a dusting.

Once the snow is above the bumper of my car I stay home.

Don't get me wrong; I hate the snow and want to leave, but I can't help picking on you snow-lightweights.
I don't know if you would call us lightweights, maybe middleweights:)
Snow? You mean you people already have white stuff on the ground? Its been in the 50's around here. Heck we have a fire hazard warning because it has been so dry people are afraid of the grass catching on fire. Now it is supposed to be in the teens tonight and stay that way for a few days. We still do not expect any snow.

We were near 50 yesterday and this morning had a blizzard warning. out here in Iowa we may get moderate snow but we also have nothing to block the wind. It's not uncommon to have an air temp of 10 to 15 with a windchill of -15 to -20 here.

Forecast for tomorrow is a high of 4 with a wind chill of -25. And a low of -13 with a wind chill of -30.

I think I prefer Ella Fitzgerald's version of "Jingle Bells" to pretty much any other version I've heard.

Since when is 'gift' a f@@%ing verb?

But it's fun verbing nouns. ^.^

Since the late 16th century, according to OED. It's older than the use of gifted as an adjective by about a century.

On the other hand, I finally watched Inception last night. What a cool movie! I really enjoyed it - kick ass story, good acting, some really cool special effects. I might just have to buy this one on Blu Ray.

I still need to see that one.

We're going to see Voyage of the Dawn Treader this afternoon.

I want to see VotDT. Let us know if it's any good.

I enjoyed it. Maybe not as good as it could have been, but still very good.

The portrayal of Eustace was amazing. The actor hit it pretty much spot on.

Actually Mairkurion is correct in this. But what tans my hide is he takes too much pleasure in correcting or informing another. Curse you, Mairkurion and all your ilk! One day I will see you consumed by my eldritch fire and turned to ash!

I think I will stay down here where it is comfortably hot.

I just thought of a poetic line:

The fire of my ire is the roast of my ghost!

Haha! Hahahahahaha! Ha!

Much snow expected tonight and tomorrow morning. Starting to worry a little since I'm not sure when the make-up day would be for the final I'm supposed to take tomorrow. And I really, really, really, really need to be done with this class. This is one time when I really hope the forecast is wrong.

Hey, Flamegut. Just thought I'd tell you that the last time I got together with the OKDM, I sold off more of your paltry stuff. I just wish I could kill you and take your stuff all over again.

Spoiler:
You should totally make an OKDM alias.

It's a little know fact that at such moments, Mairkurion's voice sounds just like Cliff Clavin's.

I was thinking that we, The Fawtl Collective, could do something special this year for Christmas. I thought we could, on the eve of that most blessed of holy days, go thread to thread "singing" carols. What do you guys think?

Yes but remember to keep it religious neutral in the CRD or those darn trolls will be up in arms.

Yeah, you must have gotten the same snow we did in Syracuse. I don't know about Rochester, but the storm we got here was a record-breaker. Two and a half feet of snow during a 96-hour snowstorm.

Well we are at 18 inches in less then 24 hours. Although it sounds like we are only going to get to about 20 in. ;)

It's been crappy, but we missed the worst of it. Less than a foot. There's another storm coming over the great lakes, but they're saying the worst of it may hit while temperatures are above freezing, and we'll get rain instead.

I'm sure you're finding out... Western NY is snow hell. When your weather pattern consists of temperatures just below freezing, and all the systems travel across the largest bodies of fresh water in the world on their way to you, no good can come of it.

It's rare all at once like this. We do average around 50" of snow over the winter. Just not usually more then 8-10 in. at a time. The cold starts tomorrow.
