Yeah, I graduated from Socastee High School.

I'm sorry. It hurts to see your alma mater in the news for things like that.

For the troubles there, not meant as a sarcastic remark about your school.

It does. Socastee was always just a small school in a small country town. I never felt afraid there. Last night driving home and passing it I was sad and angry. Someone managed to turn our school into one of "those" schools.

What is wrong with these kids?!
It truly sucks. I can't imagine our school with metal detectors. But I suppose it is time.

You don't have to explain. I can not imagine anyone here being sarcastic about something like this.

I would encourage you to challenge the article(and perhaps your own thinking)by visiting the school and finding out more about what's going on on your own. I'm sure there are teachers you had that still work there, and relatives of former school mates who have students that go to that school or something- do your own investigative work. Looking at the article, I see this as one kid acting incredibly stupid more than society on the decline, and I'm kind of am annoyed at the parallels the author of the article drew to two other incidents at other schools.

I get on a soapbox over this because of my own experiences living and going to school in NY and in semi-rural/suburban PA.

I read about that and wondered about your connection to it. It's so sad...

Very sorry, Solnes.

Congratz!!!

Hate to say it, but Logan's Roadhouse has been biting a big fat one. The Missus and I went there for Labor Day weekend (buy 1 entree, get one entree free up to $15 will do that). The only thing I thought was the bomb? The free bread appetizers. Sad, eh?

I cut the BEST steaks and if I won't serve them to Jenny, I don't serve them to you.

But why waste your steak cooking talents on a low tier like Logan's? Hasn't management throttled you enough times?

Your second picture link doesn't work. So by default the first one wins.

EDIT: It works now??? But Batman is cooler. He's Batman.

The first one. Brains will always trump brawn.

I do not see supes as stupid. I just see Bats as never letting anyone or anything defeat him. Ever.

Superman is definatly not stupid. Batman just has brains as a super power.

Too true. The fact that Batman can kick anyone's ass without a superpower means that if he got the ring, Bruce would have to change his name to Jesus, because it'd be the second coming.

... too far?

Liberty's Edge

Hand Cramps.

Jesus, Green Lantern of Sector 2814... interesting.

Not when you have enough strength and speed to throw someone into the sun before they can blink.

That is AWESOME.

I'm not in favor of either one of them having the ring. They've already got a Daxamite(read: Kryptonian suburb) with the ring, and he's turning out to be more emo than Kyle, although I think he would have been great as the GL of Krypton. Bats with the ring would be overload, as the way he's been written of late has turned him into the messiah sans water walking/wine creation capabilities.

Why is batman so large compared to the sun, but not the nerd?

Artistic license. Just repeat to yourself "It's just a comic, I really should just relax."

Fat melts more easily than muscle?

I can say that because I'm a fat nerd.

I loathe myself...

Unless you have gained some serious weight, you are not fat.

Do you think that the name was also chosen because it sounded similar to the word the class is tailored after? Not only would it make marketing sense, it'd also be an easter egg and an inside joke.

In reference to what?
