Where it began
I can't begin to knowin
But then I know it's growin strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Whod have believed you'd come along
Hands, touchin hands
Reachin out
Touchin me
Touchin you
Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
But now I
Look at the night
And it don't seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurtin runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I'm with you
Warm, touchin warm
Reachin out
Touchin me
Touchin you
Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
Oh, no, no
Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
I believed they never could
Sweet caroline

As for my inquiry on training, it seems that when I left the millitary, somehow I got a DD 214 without mention of my discharge >.< So now, I have to write to St. Louis to get a 'full' copy >.< THIS is why I hate bureaucracy. I have plenty of other paperwork attesting to my honorable discharge, but no, the powers that be will only accept a DD214 with the discharge status on it. Which, somehow, mine omits. So the process is now beholden to whatever paperpushers dwell in the National Personnel Records Center in Saint Louie. *shudder* FML.
Common sense would allow another piece of official paperwork to suffice, but no, proceedures are proceedures. McDonalds is beginning to look good again, especially if I don't have to join a friggin' union. >.<
Sorry to hear about your DD214. That bites. You may be looking at a few weeks unless they've gotten better in recent years.

I reach into my handy haversack and ... a tent? A FRIGGIN TENT?
I pitch it and await the outcome.

Ok, here we go, we got a real pressure cooker
going here, two down, nobody on, no score, bottom of the ninth, there's the wind-up and
there it is, a line shot up the middle, look
at him go. This boy can really fly!
He's rounding first and really turning it on
now, he's not letting up at all, he's gonna
try for second; the ball is bobbled out in center,
and here comes the throw, and what a throw!
He's gonna slide in head first, here he comes, he's out!
No, wait, safe--safe at second base, this kid really
makes things happen out there.
Batter steps up to the plate, here's the pitch--
he's going, and what a jump he's got, he's trying
for third, here's the throw, it's in the dirt--
safe at third! Holy cow, stolen base!
He's taking a pretty big lead out there, almost
daring him to try and pick him off. The pitcher
glance over, winds up, and it's bunted, bunted
down the third base line, the suicide squeeze in on!
Here he comes, squeeze play, it's gonna be close,
here's the throw, there's the play at the plate,
holy cow, I think he's gonna make it!

Just a thought. We order updated DD214's all the time. I would suggest you go to your local bank/credit union and talk to a mortgage loan officer about the best way to get this ordered. They might even be willing to do it for you. (I'm not exactly sure the process we go through -- it's not quite my area -- but if you want/need me to research it, I will.)

Thanks Moff, but I know where to go ask for it, I just know it's going to be a tooth-pulling affair, because whenever I interface with the shining heroes of government bureaucracy, I end up wanting to go all postal. It's not where, it's dealing with the jokers playing Paper football at their desks that I dread.

Hi all. What did I miss?
Well, Gary inadvertently spelled the doom of mankind when he unleashed the wrong computer program, causing the entire interwebz to congeal into an artificial intelligence bent on wiping out the human race. Meanwhile, a vicious hail storm swept through town, denting people and hurting cars. And, across the road, Scott was buys getting....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

Yeah, but I thought that maybe they can go through "the back door" to get it done quicker.
