"While I agree we should have some sort of decoy for...our charge," Erodel says, sipping from his glass of wine, "the simple pouch that it is in now would provide sufficient containment, while not appearing out of the ordinary. Now if I could figure out some way to supress the item's magical aura, that would be beneficial."
Des smiles at Erodel's question.
"Might I suggest a box lined with lead foil should do the trick." He grins and winks, "The simplest things are sometimes the best, no?"

"Hmmm that may work against a simple magic detection spell, but there are other ways of detecting magic. Certainly worth a try though."

Cole chimes in, "I can cast the cantrip, so we can test it easily."
Desvartes grins as he explains,
"I can assure you, it will work against a good many spells for detection and divination. Though normally I see that trick used for letters who's contents people wish to remain confidential." Still with his friendly smile.
"As can I. Perhaps we should both give it a shot?"
Cole laughs, "We should...arm wrestle for it...no that is ok, It is good to know you have knowledge of these auras as well."
When Raff is done with his shopping, he returns to the bar to find his brother and his new companions. During the night, to his brother's chagrin, he has a drink- just one though. He goes to bed early to be fresh and ready for the journey in the morning.
Once his brother returns from shopping, he retires with Raff, not commenting on the drink, yet.
Keselous walks over with Cole and pats the quiet cleric on the shoulder. " I apologize Cole, to be perfectly honest . you make me nervous, you are the first cleric or paldin of Iomedae, that hasn't be after me for shady dealings, don't get me wrong, I'm no cut throat, but the temple hardly finds my business just. I'll do my best to stem my discrimination to you." he then smiles. "I also was trying to see if anyone was watching the group of you from an angle they might've not noticied.
as far as the box goes, I think we should just do our best to stay togehter and protect it the old fashioned way.
Cole is surprised by the elf's admission, and he stammers back, "I, uhh, don't hold anything against you personally. I just...worry about Raff, and I...don't want him to do this mission. But I have no quarrel with you personally."
"Ah, yes, about the lead thing..." He pauses as he searches for how best to proceed, "Um, just a little trick I learned growing up in the Temple." He finishes, hoping his explanation is enough for now.
Cole looks over at Raff, and comments quietly, "Nice to see the trust building here."
"I've seen worse. At least no one's drawn weapons... yet."
Keselous's fingers move slowly and dramatically toward the bread knife on the table as Raff says this. A smirk lights up his face as the others notice. An innocent hand springs up if anyone calls him on it. I Jest!
"Yeah, what worries me is when circumstances aren't so friendly. I hope this ends well, but I just don't have faith in... this situation."
"Are all followers of Iomedae this pessimistic or is that something unique to you? Really, brother, lighten up. It looks bad if the good guy gets grumpy."
"Don't get me wrong Raff, but these guys don't know how to work as a team. You have one guy looking at another, wondering can I trust him. The other guy won't turn his back to me because I am one of the good guys! Now I hope things go well, but in my experience, they don't. That's all I'm saying."
"That may be true, but sometimes it's best not to make mention of such things. They often have a way of working themselves out if they aren't dwelt upon. It's like they have a power, but that power is lost if no one invokes it verbally."

Mash heads over with mead and wine, in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Cole at first hesitates, then takes the proffered drink. "Thank you, sir." he says in an awkward tone of voice.
Raff shows that he already has a drink.

Mash awakes at sunrise, and packs this bedroll into a disorderly ball, which he then forces into his pack. Mash will head to a local tavern and order the breakfast of his orcish fathers, raw meat. He'll then head over to the reception room at the for-mentioned meeting time.
