Here's to hoping she is inundated with gifts of plush d20's, Monty Python Kni-knights, Cthulhus, R2-D2's, and Dragons.
A little girl has to have a stuffed animal collection.
EDIT: When mom's not watching, put a d20 in her hand and shake her hand until it falls out. Both my boys got Nat 20's this way. Babies are lucky with dice.
Just don't let her hang on to it until she's at least 3!
Mom's in the bedroom telling her about the rogue character she was almost named after as we speak. She'll probably beat me to the d20 roll, using the rose colored GameScience d20 that came with one of last year's Valentine's gift...

Baby daughters get extra dice at penetrating the heart. :)

Treat it like a sneak attack.

Progress report, Houstonderek?
(Out of hospital yet?)
We had a midwife birth (100% natural, European style) and were home six hours after she was born. So far, she's been really good about sleeping through most of the night, but I still don't get much sleep, as I'm compelled to get up every fifteen seconds and make sure she's ok. :)
She's sleeping right now, and looks so cute!

Did you guys have the same midwife through out the pregnancy? I gather you were pleased with the process and outcome.
I'm very pleased with my daughters midwife.

Hurrah! Given some of my encounters with my nieces, I'd advise you to enjoy it whilst it's quiet.

Grats; totally awesome. Do all that you can for you wife at this time; write her love letters; be very present; do all that you can to ensure she feels cherished at this time. Look deep to do special loving things for her; it will so make things easier for you down the line. This is Huge deal; a change you life moment; do ALL that you can to make this time the best memory in her and your life.
Straight from my heart to yours; maybe you are already; I had no idea; nobody told me; I failed at this miserably and had no clue and hear about it for years. To you all my brothers out there, do all that you can for you wife when she has a baby; she has all those hormones and feeling; probably scared and happy and all conflicted. I wish I would have had a clue; but at least I can make sure you all do.
