Eat well y'all. I'll need to get my seafood fix later on in the weekend (dang 9pm landing time).

Tim do you actually have 70 people confirmed? There's two of us flying in arriving just after 1pm and hopefully at the hotel an hour or two after that. We could be available to go along if there's room and a very nice transport person.
I'd actually have to go back through this thread and count them all up again, but confirmed is close to 67 people, and maybes are around 8 people or so.
So, I assume that most of the confirmed folks will attend...some may back out/not show, and then several of the "maybe" folks will do the same. All in all, I figured I should just stop counting, and settle on seating 70, give or take a few.
Any extras that show up will probably get a table in the restaurant, just not in the banquet area with PaizoCon folks. That does NOT prevent you from visiting, nor does it prevent all the overflow Paizoians from all sitting together.
Honestly, I think 70 is about the limit on this. It may make sense to make this a lottery event too....the only one on Thursday!

Alright, I'm definitely going to be in town for the Meet and Eat, but I'm going to have to bum a ride off of someone.
The Crab Pot is fairly close by...but I figure that of 70+ people, someone should be able to give you a ride up there! ;-)
And, you know, the highlight of this dinner is not the food (although it is a unique Seattle experience), but the company. Each year, I have gotten to meet folks from the messageboards that I "know", but haven't met in person.
And THAT is what this, and PaizoCon, is all about.
Can't wait to meet you Mr. Shiny!

The airline's changed my flight a few times since I signed up for this. I'm not definitively backing out just yet, but with a landing time close to 4:30 I'm cutting things tight, and that's after about 16 hours of total travel time. I'll probably be exhausted enough to just want to grab a quiet dinner and sleep for the night.

Crab Pot is definitely in walking distance of the hotel if you're staying there. Last year we were able to walk over there comfortably. I think it even took us only 20 minutes or so to walk to over, and we got lost...

Looks like I'm late to the party, but my work schedule doesn't allow me to read the message boards quite as often as I'd like. If there's still room for one more, I'll be there. If not, well, I guess I'll get a table to myself.... :P

hehe, good point. As I said, my father and I will definitely be there. Likely we'll simply drive up on Thursday for dinner, head back down that night, and then drive up the next day for the Con. Look forward to seeing everyone there!
Cool, another Pathfinder Chronicler will be there!

I just had a meeting with the management about our Meet and Eat event... and they are ready for us!
We will have the whole area that we did last year...and it will be all ours (no waiting for the table with 4 guys eating to clear out!).
They would also like to take some pictures of us for their banquet services web page...so Paizoians will represent! ;-)
People can come earlier for their happy hour (5-6) too, but remember that their lounge area is pretty small. Also, buying drinks in the bar area and buying drinks at your table will be dealt with separately; no moving your bar tab over to your table. Drinks at the bar should be paid for AT THE BAR. This is to help them keep all 70 of us straight.
This is set up as separate checks, so the 20% gratuity is automatically added on. Which is fair, given the amount of people they are getting hit with!
One thing we should try and do is have people who are interested in a SeaFeast dinner sit together. They make these big pots of seafood, and if a group of diners makes an order for one of these, it is MUCH better, in terms of ease and getting your order faster, if that group sits together and places the order together. So, people should look over the menu, and seat themselves together at the tables for those Sea Feasts. It will really help out the staff and kitchen.

Thanks, Tim. But look at that piteous fish at the top of page two, roasting on the grill. See in his eyes how much he's hurt by the way you turned on him, the way you betrayed the friendship between you. Yet, he'll buck up, trying not to shed a tear. That a real friend there, sacrificing his all for you, with no reproach, no blame, only the hint of sadness in the corner of his fishy mouth, flickering in his fishy eyes. He's holding back a tear. Not that he would cry for himself, mind you. But for the two of you, for what ... might have been.

I accept his sacrifice, and will honor it by not even remotely thinking about it as I consume his succulent fish flesh.
Honestly, I got in trouble the first time I went to the Crab Pot with my wife (then new girlfriend) and an old buddy of mine I hadn't seen in ages. Those shrimps still had their heads on, and I embarrassed her when I put several shrimp heads on my fingers and murmured, "red rum, red rum". In my defense, my friend nearly choked on his food from laughing too hard. And, well, she didn't break up with me, so....

Hey everyone,
Sorry about the lack of response.
From my rought estimations, it looks like 10 extras here recently. That puts us somewhere between 70 and 80 folks.
Everyone is welcome to attend; however, we have a large seating area, and when that's full, then we are maxed. Overflow will likely get seated elsewhere in the restaurant. Now, it may be directly across from us....but that's just a "heads-up".
