Programming porno webtv?

Even worse...developing software for a major bank.

*winces* I did banking for years. You know people get very irate about problems with their money, right?

You sound exactly like the Puffinman when his TW game goes kaput.

Thanks! *HUGS* back. :)

It is a job that I would like. I'll be building up my Java and SQL skills, so that's definitely a plus. It's a contract for 1 year, with the possibility for permanent hire, so that's new for me. I have to talk it over with me wife, so we can decide whether we're comfortable with everything.

It's just crazy. Of course, we're also thread-crapping bullies, so that evens things out. :S

Very aware. The company I work at gets sued more often than I would have thought because sites think we cost them business when their pumps go offline.

You know, I'd hate to see Sun Tzu's principles applied to the commercial world.

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Alright, I'm gonna get going now.

I missed you all while I was gone. :)

*watches through the looking glass* post

Sun Tzu's principles are all over the business world. Contract work in banking isn't as bad as a perm job. Contractors get to come in, throw down code, and leave while the perms get all the 3 a.m. calls and nastygrams from the branches. Contracting is the way to go nowadays.

*still chuckling about Mairk's stepson and Danse Macabre.*

How'd you come to that conclusion?

Silver Crusade

Where would the job be located, Taig?

Well, Arlen was consumed by a swarm of mutant locusts unleashed by the evil genius known only as The Admiral. Meanwhile, Rand came from nowhere to wallop Trey across the head with a tire iron in retaliation for a bad tip regarding the Kentucky Derby. And across town, Blanche was forced into a race against time to try and stave off defeat by the alien.....No, Wait! That's my soap opera.

Ah! Yes. Were you already familiar with it or did you just give it a listen? From a music theory perspective, he's doing all sorts of things in there that just shouldn't be possible, but there they are. And it's just exciting music.

He actually has a lot of pretty diabolically-themed stuff. Like the Mephisto Waltz and the Totentanz (Dance of Death).

No, sir! It was brand new to me, so I was pretty excited.

So, Sebastian, are you upset that he gave away the results? Did you TiVo the news yesterday with plans to watch it tonight? ;)
