PCs & NPCs get character sheets. What do monsters get?
Monsters get nothing. :(
Character sheets allow me to SEE what I'm figuring out / working on. Monster Creation needs something counterpart to the Character Sheet. Something that allows me to work out monster creation easier and hopefully better than what I'm using now. I'd love to see a Creation Sheet (or a Stat Block Sheet) just for Monsters make it's way into the PF Bestiary II. Heck, I'd even go for a free PDF, like the Character Sheet is.

Hmmm... may add this as an extra sheet to character portfolio...? What would you want to see EXACTLY or what are you SPECIFICALLY dissatisfied with now?
Well, I can print out a Character Sheet and start working out a PC, I can't do that with monsters. As someone fairly noob to creating my own monsters, I'd like to do the same thing I would with a PC. Thus something that let's me print out a blank monster stat block and fill in with my new monster.

So would you want a sheet that is for building the monster (like a worksheet), a page like at the back of the book (basic character), or a combination of both? I'm currently revamping the eidolon sheet and the thought did cross my mind to create a half sheet for building and a half sheet for running custom monsters.
I'm unhappy with the available options for summoning creatures on cards and would like to see/do something more like ACTUAL cards myself. I am a big fan of Paizo's templates, and think
I guess what I'm implying is do you like the idea of cards(blank included) or sheets better, and what combination of tools would you like?
I know you've mentioned you're new, but that's all the better to figuring what would be the most helpful. Thanks. :)

BOTH. Then I'd have the math and the finished work.

I also realized that the Eidolon would benefit from having such a blank monster statblock.

I'm more in the mind of work sheets than cards. I'd prefer two full pages, over halves of a page. Not exactly sure by what you mean by 'TOOLS'. But if there was someway to add up Challenge Rating that would be wicked.

I'd like a monster sheet too! I did copy a stat block from a monster on a word sheet and removed the numbers, skills and all and when i start creating another monster for an encounter; i copy the blank stat sheet i did and fill it out. It's a bit of a pain but the best i could do.
I would go for something more usefull because i sometimes have to add stuff on my sheet like "spells" and i have to check on another monster to see how it is put in...

How well would this process work to you in a worksheet?
This follows what is already in the bestiary, but slightly different. I'm not wanting to take anything away froom Paizo, so the end user would need the bestiary to use this...
1 - Choose functional purpose: Combat, Spell, Skilled, Special, Utility
2 - Choose monster type:
3 - Determine target CR:
*Enter monster stats by CR
CR / HP / AC / ATK (H&L) / Avg DMG (H&L) / Prime DC / Sec DC / Saves (G&P)
4 - Determine HD by CR
5 - Choose target size by role (within min/max)
6 - Choose locomotion vis role
7 - Use size to assess physical scores
8 - Flesh out creature with Skills/feats
9 - Enter Statistic summary
10 - Estimate HP, adjust concept based on this
11 - Add in SQ and SA based on CR and role.
*Adjust CR based on target creatures performance and
Loot by encounter/treasure.
12 - Add templates/class levels if desired.
First page outline... Changes needed?
EDIT: This requires pages 290-297 of the bestiary...

A seperate monster sheet similar to this is something else I'll try. FWIW

I was also looking for a template sheet for monsters. I was thinking something like the DM sheets in the back of the Gamemastery Guide, or a blank version of a monster page from Bestiary 2.
It would need to be a full page, with a layout similar to the Bestiary with all of the relevant stats for monsters with blank areas to fill in. Also nice would be blank areas for monster name and possibly a box that could be used for art or notes.
With this I could create a new monster and then write in all of the information onto the "Monster Sheet" and keep it as a reference for later use and it would match the Bestiary in design and layout.
I find that the Bestiarys are lacking in variety for some monsters. I would really like many more entries for say kobolds all with different roles and power levels like Kobold Chief, Kobold Shaman, Sneaky Kobold, Really Tough Kobold, Kobold Trapster, etc...So a sheet would help with writing these up and updating monsters that did not make it into Bestiary 1 and 2.
So please Paizo, I love your products and would really like a sheet of some kind like this.
Thanks,
Dan

I know this is extremely old, but for those that search for this in google have this pop up. At least for me it had. And I found a program that actually allows you to have a monster creation process.
http://combatmanager.com/
This program is very useful, much like the PC Gen which I also use. This combat manager has a monster tab where you can select "new" and fill it out. From there you can add them right into an encounter, much like how you can add players and pre-made creatures. I hope this helps!
Oh, and on another note I actually had an issue downloading the combat manager's newest update. So for it to work for me I had to download an older version of it and it worked perfectly =)
