Spoliers vampires , bites and stakes oh my.

Council of Thieves

So I thought this was interesting enough to post.

We have a barbarian/sorceror/dragon disciple in our group.

While covorting around a dungeon level in the pathfinder lodge we had a bit of a party disagreement as to what door to try first and as a result, well we opened three.

The end result was getting in a royal rumble with three vampires simultaneously and a spawn or two.

during the scuffle, one vampire grapples the barbarian/dragon disclipe who happens to have that rage ability that lets her bite while grappled. One of the other vampires runs around trying to stake every one like a mad Woman.

End result iswe had a fight where the human bit the vampire, and the vampire staked the human.

this i beleive I have never seen in any of my DnD days!

By the way the human ended up biting two of the vampires to death! (she has a amulet that makes her unarmed attacks better than her weapons and she can clawclaw bite as a result of being a dragon disciple)

Anyway thought i would leave that all with you for comment.

LMAO, nice way to flip the sterotype

Funny!

Also, fair play to them surviving that fight!

yes well it was quite a fight. My halfling fighter died in a previous encounter due to a new player in the group who plays an evoker, needless to say "Fratricide!"

So I was playing the elf ranger (who hated enemies include undead)and we were litterally water loggedby baddies. One (or probably two) vampires had used their actions tosummon children of the night. So we had a pretty devastating rat swarm bugging us, a pack of tatooed wolves and probably every spawn these vamps had created.

End result was we couldn't move.

So our friend the evoker tossed a fire ball in close quarters. Luckily the large portion of the player party was up to full hit points. The end result was no more swarms or packs and most of the spawns were dead, and one of the vamps took a decent load of damage. The barbarian had a ringof evasion, the rogue had improved evasion and the rest of us made saves.

Then the dwarf had a potion of fireball and flubbed his throw roll and hit the wizard in the face with it. (this was actaully pretty funny considering we all said no to BOTH fireball ideas.)

Everyone made another round of good saves and the wizard has a high con,so he actaully had enough hit points to make it through what ended up being a rather wimpily rolled fireball.

So we the rest of the melee-ists got to go,everything was relativly weakened. The anti-undead ranger dropped the other two spawns easy, the barbarian was holding her own(despite being grappled by one) with two other vampires and the rogue was whittling another vamp with tossed daggers.

Two of the vamps tried to run on their actions, but the dwarf had a ghost touch undead bane hammer,so the gaseous form vamp running by him provoked an AoO, which wiped him out.

The ranger was in a position to get an AoO on two vamps,on trying to run,and the other was thrown by the barbarian.

Next round because of her fast move and some other rage stunts she took she has mad movement (makes a monk look like a fat man on an escalator) so she over took the fleeing vamp and bit it to death.

The last vamp ran by the ranger and AoO missed and the end of the vamps movement put in in perilous range of the barbarian's over abundance ofmovement.

Following turn, two claws missed the vamp and the bite crit'd.

End of story.

Barbarian "ate" two vampires.
