RPG Superstar™ 2010 General Discussion

Hey guys, thought I might throw a few bones to all you waiting with bated breath. Paizo is still offering free PDF's of Pathfinder D0: Hollow's Last Hope and Pathfinder D:1.5 Revenge of the Kobold King. Though shorter than what you are inevitably expected to write, it will give you an idea for pacing, structure, and number of encounters(though Nick Logue is the master of the TPK, my DM has almost killed us with his mods on more than one occasion). It might give you something to keep your mind off the competition for a couple days =). If anyone has other recommendations(especially free ones) feel free to fire away!

Just went through Hollow's Last Hope. Maybe I will look at the pdf for info on pacing and format.

Can't look at Revenge of the Kobold King before Saturday. My GM will murder me.

Yeah, I just DL'd the Revenge of the Kobold King for this very purpose. I tell you, even with just a 15 page adventure, its impressive the level of quality and detail that Paizo expects and produces in its products. Even if I don't make it as a Superstar, I intend on putting together a submission for the open call. 32 pages... oh my. Kudos to those authors that manage to do this on a regular basis.

We don't do open calls for Pathfinder Modules—since we only do six of those a year, and one of them is written by the RPG Superstar winner, we fill the remaining five slots pretty easily.

We do have open calls for Pathfinder Society Scenarios—those generally have about 18 to 20 pages of content; since we do 28 of those each year, there are a lot of opportunities there.

Ah, I misspoke then. This is what I was referring to. I just set up my society info and have found a gaming shop in the area that participates (only once a month though) and will hopefully start gathering a new group for Society play (I currently just play online via Fantasy Grounds and Skype). And, of course, I will try to write for the Society and submit something as well. Wishes and promises...
