Dear Museum Curator,
As the newest member of our team, your first assignment is detailed here. Following a meeting with our museum’s Web design team, it is now my priority to improve the content of our museum’s Web site. We decided on an interactive timeline focused on one art medium. It is your job to choose one art form such as painting or sculpture for the timeline. You must also have a common theme for the artwork you select. For example, if you were to choose sculpture, your theme could be “20th-Century Sculpture.”
The focus of the exhibition is up to you and I believe you will provide an excellent timeline for our new endeavor. Please make sure you do not make the timeline too brief or too long. Ten works of your choice should suffice. After selecting the ten works of art, please prepare a short paragraph to accompany each work.
Should you have any questions regarding this task, please contact me. I look forward to your timeline and trust that your newly acquired expertise will lead our museum well into the 21st century.
Kind regards,
Tina LePage
Museum Director
So this is my art final. I know I want to do my power point presentation on architecture. What I am a little confused on is the timeline. How should I spread these out? I only have 10 frames..no more no less. Should I do from 1910-2000 every ten years? Or like every hundred years? From 1000-2000? Obvioulsy I want to include more of the ancient greek and roman styles...ugh I hate the decision parts, I enjoy the doing parts of power points.

You could do 2 slides per major period of art: Classical, Renaissance, Modern, plus two others that I don't know because I'm not an art historian (I'm a software engineer, dammit!).
Now that I've reread the assignment, I think you could stick to one period and make a timeline for the one period (like Classical). See the above caveat again. :)

I get that a lot from most members of my family. :)

I am a big fan of the romanesque architecture. How would I situate the timeline. Like one per hundred years of that period? It technically only last 500 years...so maybe one every 50 years? Man I hate the details. This timeline thing is throwing me off.

I'm trying very very hard to imagine you saying sick and twisted things. But then again, I tell myself we've yet to see the real vile Taig and that your online presence is just a kind facade. ;)

You don't have to divide it into discrete periods of time. I think you can hit the major periods of the 500-year history.

I just say really weird things, but nothing vile. I hate to say it, but I guess I am a nice guy. It really worked on the women back in the day, let me tell you. *eye roll*

I asked the missus, who's taken a lot of art and has a graphics design degree. She said you should focus specifcally on the gren & roman era as you'd find all that information in one place and thus not stretch yourself out.

Thanks guys. I reread the assignment and all it says is that it has to be chronologically in order, not spaced out specifically. So I will supress that rather OCD tendency and simply enjoy myself. I think when I stop over thiking this it will flow and go well.
See you in a bit. And Urizen...tell your lady I said thank you!
Much coffee and (sorry guys) smokes to follow.....be back laters.

It may not have back then...but it is one of the things I adore about you, I can enjoy teh other boys misbehaving but count on you to be a good boy, and it is a pleasant surprise when you let loose and join them. If that makes sense?

No problemo. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. I don't think we're going anywhere today as she has to work on schoolwork too and I'll likely be watching the AFL and NFL championship games.

One day, we're all going to be caught off guard when Taig pulls out the goat on us (re: Waiting... reference). :D

Damn did I sleep yesterday; went to bed at 4:35 pm and woke up at 4:20 am this morning.
Good morning (?) TAD. Just out of curiousity, are you allowed to drive anywhere and do social outings? Sometimes it seems like you're cooped up at home and thus throw your sleep / awake schedule at odd inconsistent hours. (?)

Maybe you should even core it down more. A specific sub type within the framework you are looking for that allows you to make other decisions easier.

And here I always thought it was just a generic term for Irish Catholic. Shows what I know.

Yikes. Time for an alias, friend.

Thanks! That does make sense, and, since I'm married and in my 40s, impressing "the ladies" isn't a high priority. As long as my wife is happy. :)
I don't think I'll ever do anything outrageous. Every now and then I'll do something silly and mildly scandalous (I started the "Which Paizo employee have you slept with" thread, after all, at Celestial Healer's prodding).
So, no goat pulling for me. Urizen, I haven't seen Waiting, so I have no idea about the reference.

I think it might be. It's weird that I've been potentially insulting people for at least 20 years.
Now I need to come up with a new name...

Heh. I had a different alias that I used for at least 15 years that I put aside (non-RPG related). At the time, it did its job but now that I'm older and wiser (?), I went with this one.
Does that mean you'll change the avatar too? An extreme makeover?
