Bryce has figured out that I'm a sucker for "just one more chapter." He ended up being up well past bedtime, but I could hardly leave off just as the Childlike Empress was setting off from the Ivory Tower to go and find the Old Man of the Mountain, especially with a six year old begging and pleading to know what happens next. :)
And great bedtime story suggestions guys. Cause you know my kid doesn't have enough nightmares already. ;)
What was the book?

Was "The Neverending Story" a book before the movie? I did not realize it, if that's the case. I think I'd like to read it myself.

Yes, it was. The events of the movie are pretty much just the first half of the book with some major changes to make it more screen friendly. And the second half of the book is the second movie with some...you get the idea. It's by Michael Ende. You should check it out.

Now I know what I'm spending my Borders or Amazon gift cards on. Thanks, Lynora!

Going to bed, night folks.
Supporting your local Police Department...???
WTF!?! What did you do?
Is that why you guys didn't respond when I tried to contact you with Skype?
