okay, i seem to find some more time on my hands, and as such, found myself reading through some old modules, and found a little gem amongst them.
also, i noticed a lack of PbPs on the boards, and i myself love DMing.
okay, so i am looking for 4 good aligned PF players, 9th level, and 2 reserve players to run through a an urban setting module, just the one module, i may post more eventually, but for now, just this one.
please use the PF 20 point buy system, and only use the PF core rule book and Bestiary for all character options.
Traits are allowed, and as such, please choose 2 traits from here.
playtesting classes are available, but no other Pathfinder source material, mainly because i dont have access to a lot of it.

Okay a little back story of the module and place, it will be granted that the party already knows each other some way (please work out how the party knows each other in the OOC thread once you get there, try and keep this thread as uncluttered as possible).
The party is off to see a famous play-write, escorting a feeble aristocrat to the small town of Hallowfeld, so that he may send his wishes to his daughter one last time before he dies.
The party has been hired by the aristocrat because, being 1 80 year old man, he does not have any way of protecting himself, and the lands surrounding the small town are rumoured to be dangerous and riddled with monsters.
I hope that helps set the module up, and I look forward to seeing what people choose to create.
But just to recap, and so it's easier to read, I am looking for:
*4 good player Characters.
*2 reserve characters.
*20 Pathfinder Point Buy system.
*9th level characters.
*Playtest classes are available
*2 traits from paizo.com/traits
I'm interested, and would like to play an elf ranger--a wilderness guide type character. I'll follow up with more details shortly, but wanted to throw my hat in the ring while I had the chance.
BTW, for some reason the link to traits just sent me to the store's main page. I did find it under Pathfinder resources.
As for how the party knows each other, seems perhaps one simple idea would be that we've all been in the employ of the aristocrat for some time? Maybe my character manages the lord's forests/hunting grounds on his estate.
ETA: I don't have a lot of knowledge of Golarion. Let me know if that's a problem.

DeathQuaker, nevermind about lack of Golarion knowledge, this game won't really be too golarion intensive, just a fun adventure I found earlier on.
Gamender, no problem with the Lore Master/Wizard or the Illusionist, both fit in very well.
Just create your characters and move on into the large and expansive OOC thread I made.

Made this in PC Gen; the sheet calculates in the Traits but doesn't say what they are; they are Resilient (+1 to Fort) and Suspicious (+1 to Sense Motive, sense motive is Class Skill)
Rough background, can be changed to suit GM's needs, etc.: Iriel lived amongst fairly isolationist elves, but longed to explore the outside world and meet other races. Shortly before she technically came of age, she ran off to wander the world, using the skills she learned in the elven forest to survive. She is curious about others and keen on learning from them, but her isolated background and reserved way of speaking makes her come off as aloof.
After being wounded by highwaymen, she was taken in by The Aristocrat who had her injuries tended to; in gratitude she offered to patrol his lands and ward off poachers and unwanted predators, which had been a problem for a long time. Although sometimes obstinate and poor at following orders, she is nonetheless loyal to the old man.
Ooooh, an urban adventure? If you still have room, I would love to participate. How about an elf bard - maybe an old adventuring companion of the Aristocrat's from his younger days, who now keeps him compay/looks after him in his old age?
okay, sounds good, just build the character up, and once everyone is finished, we can set out...

Okay, so I've upped the ante a little, and decided on 5 PCs, so that means the list is now as follows:

Oh, I almost forgot about some of the things that people usually ask about when creating characters:
* HP is average per level (half the HD +1, so 6 for fighter 7 for Barbarian, etc)
* Standard character wealth for 9th level (which is 46, 000 gp)
Okay, just an update so that people know what is happening.
With christmas and New Year just around the corner, I'm not sure if we will be able to get the game up before then, but if we can, then great.
Okay, so I've looked through the characters presented to me so far, and these are the only things that need to change to make them playable.
DeathQuaker:
*You have only spent 74 skill points, and i calculated that you should have 77 to spend (6 + INT mod (+2)/level x 9 levels + 5 favoured class bonus = 77 skill points). so you have 3 skill points to spend.
*Your HP seem incorrect to me, your math should be as follows: 9d10+9+4 (10+6+6+6+6+6+6+6+6+9+4 = 71 HP) dont forget that rangers are now d10 HD.
other than that, your character is perfectly ready to play.
Ravn:
*Your HP are just 1 point over total, the only number that is incorrect is the 1st level HP, it should be 6 not 7, so just change your HP from 57 to 56.
*You cannot use Ward on yourself, you have to cast your ward hex on another person.
Other than that, your character is perfectly ready to play.

I have not thought about it too much, but I will work on a concept later. Looks like a martial character of some kind, perhaps a mariner type. I need to see if I can find the mariner core class(?) or go the swashbuckler route.
Ek, I have been jonesing on caster characters recently. Probably a sorceror or wizard, but I might be able to work some sorto f divine caster, if necessary.
I would like to do some caster heavy on the enchantment/charm aspects, and go light on the big bang spells.

are you allowing any 3.5 classes or is it strictly PF classes only? Also is this a coastal city? I would like to be a swashbuckler, or a mariner type, but I may go straight fighter otherwise.

Ekeebe, at the risk of sounding pushy--maybe you should put a deadline for posting backgrounds and/or getting the game started? That might help encourage people to finish their backgrounds who haven't yet.

Okay what I am going to do is hold off on deciding until Eric Swanson makes the changes said in the review of his character, and then decide, unless you miss the deadline, then Gerald will automatically be in.
When I decide, I am going to look at the party, and decide based on build and class for who gets the spot, if a certain role needs to be filled, then I will choose the player most suited for that role.
I explained what I am doing because I know how it feels to be passed up for a spot in a PbP for no reason, and the DM just saying, "Meh, they were here first!"
