Not sure if I was supposed to post this here or in the AGP test area so, I am going to try both.
Will Boon Companion from Seeker of Secrets be updated to work with Eidolons?
Look at Josh's answer in this thread and I think you might be encouraged.

Is this because you're looking to "dip" into summoner for a level or two? Because the Boon Companion feat is pointless for a single class druid, summoner, wizard, etc. It's a solid feat for single class rangers, and a solid feat for multiclass all-of-the-above.

I was thinking of multi-classing Summoner/Druid to gain access to more summoning spells( spontaneous summon nature's ally ) and a greater diversity of casting ability.

Whether I'd stick to 3 of Druid or not, I am not sure yet. If I do I can get up to 6th level Summoner spells and a fully progressed Eidolon + an ( with Boon Companion ) 7th lvl animal companion and a bunch of lower level spells to help out. I'd lose some casting progression on the Summoner's side and access to the Gate version of the SLA, but I'd still get the Summon monster IX. Haven't really decided yet, but exploring the possibilities.
I could always go the other way Druid 16/ Summoner 4 and gain an 8th level eidolon in addition to Full animal companion and 9th level spells. This might be better as the Eidolon can be more easily molded into something that can be helpful for all levels.

Wait.
Is this for a Pathfinder Society character?
Because, if it is, you can't get gate anyway, because the level cap is 12. If it isn't, you're posting in the wrong forum. I'm not the official ruling for the playtest--I only said that boon companion could work for the eidolons in Pathfinder Society.

I know. I was planning for the future. I assume that at some point higher level play will be allowed in PFS( when the modules support it ). Am I incorrect in this assumption? Sorry for the confusion, I would rather plan for the future than get stuck unhappy with previous level choices.

Pitching in my 2 cents, if the summoner had existed when I wrote the feat, it would have been included in the list.

Pages 17-18 in the Guide book address the level cap. Specifically:
"Pathfinder Society Organized Play is capped at level 12. This means that, no matter what, your Pathfinder Society character may never progress higher than level 12."

Which means one of two things:
(1.) PFSOP won't go above 12th level any time soon, if ever.
(2.) PFSOP might someday go above 12th level, but that's in the Top Secret File Cabinet in Paizo Warehouse 37 1/2. Fnord.

This is an error on my part. The Boon Companion feat does NOT work with an eidolon. See here for details.

Totally understandable ruling. It would, however, be helpful to bring in some official feats, prestige classes, etc. that make the summoner a bit more easy to work with multi-class wise. Especially since the quite narrow skill selection makes it fairly inflexible in terms of different character concepts...

I hear there is a book coming out in Late April...
