With all the grand writers that Paizo is connected with, its interesting heroes and villains that we're seeing emerge in the Adventure Paths, and a great big world of far-reaching exotic and exciting adventures, I would hope that Paizo would have the far-sightenness to expand its product-line.
One of the things that really got me involved in the Forgotten Realms was the vastness of paperbacks using Faerun as the setting. It wasn't just crunch - it was flavor. It was depth. It was dynamic! Reading those books really got my head into the space of what Faerun was about. It was really only through reading those books that I became a true fan of Forgotten Realms. (And then came 4e, but that's for another thread!)
So, Paizo, what about it? How about immersing us with more Golarion lore by giving us a line of paperbacks!

If you're talking fiction, this has been asked every week or so for the last few years and the answer has always been, "yes." Paizo will be releasing Pathfinder novels and things are in the works, but no announcement has been made. Indications are that we'll know by June what the first book in the line will be.

This makes me happy. I can't wait to hear who's on board and start to see story synopses. Thank you!

OK, I think the duck population has gotten out of whack! I propose....a cleansing (if you will) for the species that these ducks are severely impacting. Ahem! Mallards, need more space.
As a lover of fiction, Pathfinder Fiction, I shamelessly bump these kinds of threads in whatever guise I disguise my intention in.

Yaaay!
Pathfinder/Golarion fiction... WOOT!
I absolutely cannot wait for this either. (Sigh... will there be a subscription for these as well... 'cuz I'd sign-up for that... quick hit me before I come to my senses and realize I may not be able to afford this.) :P

Just saying is all
He said it in his blog. If you go on Candlekeep or the WoTC FR boards there are discussions on it
I would love to see some Golarion books by Kemp, Dave Gross, Erik Scott de Bie, Elaine Cunningham (of course), Thomas Reid, Mark Anthony, just to name a few off the top of my head

I was impressed by the manner in which Byers got inside the heads of both Sammaster and Dorn with his 'The Year of Rogue Dragons' trilogy, and the contrasting directions in which their situations had taken them.
I am also a fan of Lynne Abbey for 'The Simbul's Gift', and 'The Nether Scroll', which both struck me as incredibly enticing reads, populated by people acting entirely truly to their natures.
Dave Gross (since he is posting!) has the occasional memorable one-liner moment in his Forgotten Realms works which I have read, such as the classic moment in 'Lord of Stormweather' where Larajin simultaneously administers the brush off and a dispel magic to the Hulorn's henchman wizard in the big showdown near the end. Subject to delays in shipping and other problems, I am not really acquainted yet with his Golarion work.
I also liked Jeff Grubb's Tertius stories in the 'Realms of...' line, and find Elaine Cunningham's Channa Ti on a par with Elaith Craulnober. (Sorry, but I'm simply not a big Arilyn or Danilo fan, but the conflicted Elaith interests me, greatly, as does the complicated Golarion druid.)

Hey, isn't that a different avatar? It makes you look thinner.
But seriously, dammit, I'm waiting for the third installation with increasing impatience!

Yes, yoda8myhead was alluding to this thread, in which James Jacobs commented that duck-billed monsters were too silly. And I posted to imply here that ducks can be a tragic story, precisely because of the silliness, as demonstrated by Glorantha.
Imagine an NPC who always kept his face in a mask, and the twisted form under the mask would imply to the players that he must be hideous. Then some enemy would unmask him in public... to have a huge crowd LAUGH at his absurd appearance, to his shame and rage.
Or better still, imagine a PC with such an appearance! Hmm...

Anyone know what is going on with Jeff Grubb?
Jeff was originally going to work on the Pathfinder's Journal for Kingmaker, but ended up not having time in his schedule. As a result, he helped us with the concepting, and there's a team of 6 authors working together to produce the story arc, a la the Eando Kline days. After that, we'll be back to a single-author story arc for Serpent Skull with Robin Laws.

Thanks, Sutter. I hope in the future he'll have time to come back and play in Golarion some more. So far, in addition to the regular savants, its been impressive how Paizo has pulled in both talented new writers and old hands from the larger pool -- I expect that we'll continue to see the same thing in Golarion fiction as we've seen in the rest of the line.
