Alright, all the summons I'm probably going to ever use are now statted out. Man I hate doing this.

Well, I've continued my trend for having characters with low Wisdom. I don't mean for it to be my dump stat, but otherwise my Int is 12, giving me only one bonus language. I need both Common and Gnome in addition to Goblin, so I have to bring my Wisdom back to 8 and my Int up to 14 (the one time I was going to play an averagely intelligent character, too.

You both look better than the devils I've seen. Even I do. I'm Benicio Del Espada, but you can call me "Ben."

Cha 7! Spanish speakers may note that "espada" ("sword") is feminine, so it would be "De la Espada," but Del just sounds better. It's supposed to be like Italian anyway, so...

"Lose my soul?" The Tengu starts rifling through his backpack. "Nonsense, I've got it right here." Small bits of yarn and broken metal trinkets drop out of the bag as his search grows more frustrated. "Well, it's in here somewhere..."

Still working but almost done. One question, can we take both traits from the standard traits or must we split them up? and can her short swords do slashing damage instead? ok that was 2

Also ya might want to make AoO's yourself as waiting for use to make them can bog combat down a bit

My stats are done and awaiting approval.

I'll add the backstory to the profile tomorrow. Rakless was part of a small community of Tengu as a child and was apprenticed to an Elvish wizard. His insatiable curiosity and tendency toward pranks led to a number of magical mishaps and the wizard's heartfelt suggestion that Rakless consider apprenticing himself to a healer before returning to wizardry(for the health and safety of all involved).

Tending to take even the most dry-witted of suggestions at face value(a failing of many Tengu--excellent with languages, not so good with sarcasm), Rakless joined the Church of Nethys and successfully trained as a cleric. Despite his great capacity for wisdom, Rakless found new and unexpected ways to exasperate and aggravate the rest of the clergy(usually by practicing his explosive runes in the prayer books and encouraging the altar boys to sword fight with irreplaceable candelabras).

The most senior priest opined that the devil who found himself trapped in Hell with Rakless would sooner give his soul back than suffer through eternity with him. Rakless disagreed, to which the priest suggested Rakless go find a devil and settle the matter conclusively, thus did the Tengu cleric find his way to Westcrown.

Unless I change traits she is done.

I've started on mine, but I need another day or two to finish up. I'm over the hump. The name is ALWAYS the hardest part. =)

Urgh. Sorry for lagging. The past couple of days have been Chelish. I plan to get my character done tonight. I've got a meeting that runs until 8, but I will have time to get most of the stat/background work done before I go to bed at 11:30.

Hmm...we both have Conspiracy Hunter, so perhaps we/I decided that there was safety in numbers and I decided to accompany you and make sure that you don't get into too much trouble?

That could work. Rakless would naturally gravitate towards another fencer as well(he's proficient, as all Tengu are, but not exceptional, relying mainly on magic to help him wield a blade...he'd likely be in awe of someone with actual talent).

Male Tiefling Wizard 5

As I said before, I'm done with my sheet. I even put up a small bit of backstory for what it's worth, although I still know the name of any noble houses I might have apprenticed at.

Heh, I bet even Rakless can deal more damage than I can...Tenze was only a fencer for the sport of it until she came to Westcrown. Without a crit, the best she can deal is 2.

EDIT: I knew it, your max hit is 10.

Tengu love their swords. :) Of course, the odds of him hitting with it are very poor if he doesn't use his cleric abilities, but when he does...it's a scary thing to see a bastard sword flying at you from 30 feet away.

Actually, throwing a melee weapon gives a -4 right? So you have a better bonus weapon throwing it than using it normally. XD

EDIT: Whoops, thought your Dex was higher. Nope, you still need the spell.

This is especially true in Call of Cthulhu. I once read that the only way to survive in that game is for your character to not know anything and to not be good at anything. That way, you're never at centre stage, so you don't get dismembered/stabbed/reduced to a gibbering hulk of a man.

As for this game, I apologize I haven't been posting so much today, but it was the release of The Beatles: Rock Band, so I've been singing my guts out all day. :)

The characters look good so far, hopefully I'll be able to take a closer look at them tomorrow and we might be ready to go on Friday, or sometime during the weekend at the latest. Great stuff so far, everyone! This is going to be great!

Sorry I missed this, seeker... I would prefer you take a campaign trait and a regular trait, since the campaign trait weaves you into the AP's plot much better than the standard traits do.

Also, I think I'd rather stick with the short sword doing only piercing damage. I'd like to avoid making those little tiny changes that add up over time. If I change it for you, I have to remember that it's different for all NPCs I run, and odds are three months from now I'll get confused and forget why.

You're right about AoOs, though. There are a few changes I want to make to streamline play as well, like rolling some checks (like Perception, for example). I'll try to come up with a comprehensive list of the changes I'll make to keep play moving. I'll post it here before the game starts.

Sovereign Court

Seeing the addition of the halfling paladin to the group containing the tengu cleric and the goblin ranger, I have a feeling this is going to be one of the most rag-tag groups of adventurers ever. Thankfully, that actually fits really well with the AP. So... awesome! :)

Dark Archive

Hey Nameless... I'm almost completely finished... Just have one trait left and items...

Um, I had this idea for my character...

Spoiler:
If I have the necessary skills, can I write up 3 characers... The real character (a female half-elf rogue) who is pretending to be another character (a male half-elf rogue) who is pretending to be another character (a male human bard)? I sorta even started making different aliases.
