I tried to order a subscription to companion starting with the Dwarves book (nicely two months from when I bought the core rules). The store wants me to prepaid $10 in advance (which is a bit much for a book not due out for two months). Is there anything that can be done?

I tried to order a subscription to companion starting with the Dwarves book (nicely two months from when I bought the core rules). The store wants me to prepaid $10 in advance (which is a bit much for a book not due out for two months). Is there anything that can be done?
We do not charge for anything until it ships out to you. However, in order to complete the order, we have to authorize a transaction on the associated payment method in order to ensure that the payment method is valid and has sufficient funds. There is more information on authorizations on our FAQ.
