Sad. I had some friends coming over tonight, only now not so much. My one friend is a bit of a germaphobe and doesn't want to be around me because I'm just getting over being sick and the other one has no car so can't come because the first one isn't. :/
So now I have a whole pumpkin cheesecake and nobody to help me eat it. Plus I was going to give them their Christmas presents. :(
I am sorry to hear that, lynora. May things go better for you soon!

That's too bad. I am here with just my daughter Ally and the Dogs. My daughter Julia and my wife are both out, probably until late. The house seems almost too quiet. ..
Guess I should get to wrapping those presents ...

It's snowing here! Yay!
It snows so infrequently here, I like it when we get it. I think I'd get tired of it if I lived where you guys lived.

If you had that snowplow (that, I'm guessing, Sharoth stole from you), then it wouldn't be so quiet. :)

Nope, the gas crunch stole that from me. Plus the fact that it really doesn't snow all that much on Cape Cod, unless we get a winter Nor'Easter like this one. Still, it was great fun running about in my GMC 2500 HD with that 8' Fisher plow in the middle of a raging blizzard, making big @zz snowbanks like I always wished the plow guys would do in my neighborhood ...

That does sound like fun.
The only time I lived in that part of the country was when my dad was stationed in Maine (about an hour north of Bangor) for a year. I was in 4th grade, and I loved the 6-8 feet of snow on the ground we got from a blizzard. I'm certain I would not like that now.

I don't think that I have ever has pumpkin cheesecake. Now that thought has me wondering what it tastes like...
I'll put trying it somewhere on my list of things to do that I really have a chance of accomplishing. :)

Aye. Fun but impractical, especially when gas went to more than $4 a gallon and it was my primary means of commute ...

Yeah. Big snow is only fun twice in life. Once, when you are a young kid and when you are the parent of a young kid. Otherwise, it is a slushy wet, pestiferous mess..

Screw 'em babe. If we was closer Solnes and I would help ya' eat that cheesecake. I'm sorry Darlin', do you wanna chat some tonight? I make a great venting board. :/

Yeah. Gotta feed the rugrat soon, but once that's accomplished, I've suddenly got a lot of free time this evening. :)

It's one of my specialties. If you're ever up in my neck of the woods, let me know and I can make some for you. :)

Groovy. We're getting ready to eat some dinner ourselves, but I'll give you a shout on Skype when we get our brood settled in for the night.
And on that note Solnes beckons me to the kitchen, either for some kitchen love or to do dishes.... my money is on dishes. ;)

Ah. Cool. They make some of those at the coffee shops near here, but they call them something else. Never was able to get one for my kid as he is lactose intolerant. Tried to get him a soy milk steamer once, but he didn't like it. Warm soy milk is definitely an acquired taste.

I'll send you some. We average over 12 feet a year. Trust me, by early January you would want to open a vein.

Very well, thanks! I've got a three-day weekend, then only one day of work next week.
I hope your remaining finals went well. Will you be traveling home for the holidays or is your school local for you?
Yes, my school is local, I don't know how I would afford out of state tuition. Family lives about an hour away. You know the "just right" distance, can make it home in case of an emergency but far enough to be on my own.

Good morning, Flash.
Mornin'
Yep, still morning for another 6 minutes...
I would like to try and finish off Melodie's Christmas shopping today while she is at her Wedding. We'll see how that goes though as I've been having trouble finding what I want to get for her. Nowhere has a copy of Season 3 of Ghost Whisperer... :/
(It's actually quite funny. I am the Supernaturalhead of the family, she normally is very blah about it, but she loves both Ghost Whisperer and Medium, whereas I am not a fan of either...)

I understand that. I lived about 3 hours away from home. Then my dad got stationed in Colorado during my junior year, so the trip from Miami wasn't so easy.
