That reminds me: What are everyone's Christmas plans?

We'll be spending the holidays here. My in-laws live nearby, and my kids are begging me and my wife to have them come to our house, because it's so "booooring" at my in-laws house. We have a huge game day on New Year's Eve, board games and card games that we don't play too much during the year.

Well, I hope that you manage to make it fun for all.

My Christmas plans:

I will be flying into Lexington, Kentucky next Wednesday and staying until the 2nd when I fly back. Actually, I will be staying in Winchester (rather than Lexington) with my youngest sister (still older than me...) and her family as well as our Mom who just moved in with her.

My brother-in-law (this one, I have three) is a lot of fun too be around and my sister's two sons are a blast also.

I expect it to be a great trip.

Everyone has wants. I want to know what MUA2 and DAO stands for.

MUA2 is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

Not over my illness, but out of sick days :/

Out of sick days? That is a bummer.

Note: Read later that you still have vacation days...So, all appears to be well.

Get better soon.

Please keep praying though! She's had so much medicine and she's been through so much! Please thank God with us!

I am very glad to hear that.

Don't worry. The prayers will keep coming.

All this talk of fudge is making me want to...beg people to send me fudge. :)

I would, but it would never survive the heat of shipping. It's really easy, here's the recipe from the back of the marshmallow creme jar, same as it was when my grandma first made it. Only difference I make is using some excellent Ghirardelli chocolate.

The bad part is that it's really too easy and quick to make when you have the ingredients on hand. That's why I don't keep any marshmallow creme in the apt except for the holidays.

Fearing that I will lose it otherwise, I had to add the link to favorites so that I don't lose it.

This reminds me of my Father. He would always make a variety of candies for the end of year holidays: (normal) fudge, walnut fudge, peanutbutter fudge, etc.

Now, I am both sad and thinking of making some candy.

Bumping so previous reply so it doesn't get lost in a sea of posts.

I'm happy as a clam; I got my Pathfinder GM Screen in the mail today.

Cool. I might have to get one. I have started a campaign but do not know how it will last since a lot of us, myself included, will be splitting for the holidays.

Have fun with the new toy.

DAO is Dragon Age: Origins. Don't know what the other one is.

Yes it is true. Of course I found this out only after mine went kaputski.

That's another thing I've been hearing; how much the PS3 is prone to break down. How many times have you had to have it repaired?

Hmm, I'm considering getting an iTouch.

One question, is the MPEG-4 format the same as .mp4?

Spoiler:
who was making with the rudeness in the RIP thread?

Hey TADs, good to see you 'round here again.

Been having fun with daughter today, hope everyone else is having a good day too. :D

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Nice ride through the snow this morning. It was like going for a sleigh ride on the way to work.

Well, the internet's been fixed. My sister bought my mom a laptop for Christmas (early gift).

So until my I get my new comp, I'm pretty much restricted to the site I go to. Thank goodness Paizo isn't restricted.

God, this laptop is s...l...o...w. Oy.

This will be the first. However I should point out that it ran roughly 15 straight hours a day for a year so really it held up pretty well. I have since gotten a DVD player so those duties can be shared.

Sounds good, TADs! Slow is better than no.

Hey, can someone help me remember something? There was an issue of Pathfinder that had a type of demon or devil that was kind of a big furnace. I'm looking, but I can't find it.

Getting one is sounding better and better. One last question; is it backwards compatible with PS1 & PS2 games?

One more thing: if you are a Netflix customer, you can now get your "Watch Instantly" free streaming movies to your entertainment system through the PS3. That's got me thinking of it as a possible graduation present...

Some versions of the system are BC with PS2 games, I don't know about the PS1 though. I wouldn't be able to tell you which one you need to look for though. I had thought they all were when I got mine, but mine isn't. So much for Dragon Quest 5 for me. :/

I wish I could help you on that one, but I didn't 'discover' Pathfinder untill #24 or so. I have since been going back and trying to gather all the back issues when money allows. You might try Flash, he's got a good memory and all the issues in his garage.

Thanks for all the help Moorluck.

A question for the computer/tech savvy; do I need a second video card to stream video content to an HDTV, or is there another way to accomplish this?

How long does it take for HD content to start playing?

Usually not that long, I have high speed internet through cable, but it is also going through the wifi router to my laptop or Roku.

Do you need to have an wireless adapter connected to the PS3 in order for internet access/netflix streaming?

~sighs~ I want a PS3 and a Wii. But to be honest, I do not want to spend the money on it. ~shrugs~ Oh well.

Hi Flash! I decided to take your advice and see what this community was all about. So how is everybody here? And WTF is up with this insanity?

You'd have to check the Netflix website. I haven't read the whole announcement yet, as my wife doesn't want me overly excited.

It's funny, I've neither seen nor played on a console since I moved to China in 2002 (they just don't do well here--most people are into PC games). When I get back I'll have to check one out.

While being a whackjob is the norm, signatures are generally regarded as bad form around here. Also, they're against the boards rules.
