Wow, that was a lot of activity.

Welcome to the thread, PsychoSteve. And Heathansson, too. :)

RiffTrax show was a lot of fun. There were a few drug-induced, demented Christmas shorts back in the 50s, I guess.

I'm going to bed now. It's way too late.

Good night, all.

Good luck with your art assignment. I hope that work went well for you. Sleep well when you finally do get to go to bed.

Thanks Dragon. Sorry I didn't call you back. I was decently busy at work, and was down to the last 3 chapters of Orphans of Chaos...I had to finish it! It was fantastic! I can't wait to start the next one!! :D

School work finally done, that assignment just didn;t wanna end! Going to bed now.
I hope that you too had a good night, and I am sure to talk with ya tomorrow. :)

Well, hello and goodnight. Another stupid gorram power outage. :/
At least this one only lasted a couple hours. Unlike last week's that lasted a whole night. The only upside is that it went out just after I finished filling out an online application and not right in the middle.

Oh, and owie my legs hurt. I decided to get some free exercise by using my exercise ball as my desk chair. I didn't realize that my naturally hyperactive nature was gonna mean that I got more exercise from that than I do from a proper workout. Which is both good and bad.

Hey baby!

I am glad that you are enjoying the book. I am missing the last book in that series. My "charge" for lending you those books is that you have to get me the final book in that series. ~grins~

I am having a good night. I just goet done taking the mutt for an hour long walk. She had fun. So did I.

Edit - ~gives a horrified look~ Does this mean that I have good tastes in books? Oh no! Say it isn't so! ~GRINS~

~gives a sigh of relief~

Good things...

Knowing that I will be able to get my bills back on a schedule by next month (or so).

Knowing that I will be able to pay my car insurance every six months (thus saving me $200-$300 a year) instead of monthly starting next year.

Knowing that my family, friends, and my dog care about me.

Knowing that I can now get my house fixed and at a resonable rate.

Just HAVING both a house to live in and a stable, good paying job.

And just having a blessed life.

~laughter~ The Head Trip Comics are awesome!!!

Edit - WOOT!!! Top of the page due to a funny comic!!! YAY!!!

Good morning all. Hope everything goes well for you.

Morning folks :)

nope! me want cookies!

Mmmmm....cookies. In lieu of fudge and ice cream, my father and his woman stopped by the hospital last night and left me with my yearly stipend of what they call 'monster cookies'. Soft peanut butter oatmeal cookies laced with chocolate chips and m&ms. Yumtastic sugary sweet overload. nomnomnomnom....

I'm feeling a little better today. I still have some coughing and chest congestion, but at least I can breathe through my nose again.

Updates:

First:
Phil, who plays the paladin in the tabletop game I also play in, sent an email to everyone letting us know that his mom is conscious and alert, although still on a respirator for a little longer, so she can't talk yet. He sounded very excited that she is doing better, and I am very glad to hear it.

Second:
The memorial for my friend Christine was yesterday evening. It was a very nice and fitting service, featuring a lot of incredible musicians who knew her and wanted to pay tribute as well as slide shows of her own wonderful professional photography. I'm glad I was a part of that.

Ya know, David ... this could be taken way out of context here. :D

I got my first post taken away, but I wasn't the one with the rudeness. I made a sutble comment about him not getting his 8 million for his City of Faith construction and thus got his chips called in. As for the main post? Begins with the 24th letter of the alphabet and ends with the first vowel. I chuckled at it, but I have misgivings about the deceased that I'll keep to myself.

Would we give the same courtesy if someone finally nails Bin Laden? Or would that be an exception to respect the deceased? Hmm...

My woman's doin' better. More of her spunk is coming back despite the post surgery pain and nausea. Normally with low blood pressure, it's been up due to pain management. Been running a fever as well, so that has to snap sometime today. I hope to bring her home today and then take several days off to cater to her needs and keep the puppy with the gimp knee from going bonkers-nuts-buttwaggin'-excited to jump on her when she comes home. Otherwise, it wouldn't be pretty.

Now time for a cookie raid. nomnomnom...

Solnes & Patrick, I had no interest in arguing the matter, just curiosity about what happened. No religious argument intended. I'll let it drop since it might be divisive. Curiosity killed the cactus, and all.

But eventually, my Pathfinder edition loyalty test will be enacted. You'll see!!!

I can't speak for Solnes, but I am just tired of all the Internet arguing, no matter what the subject. I get myself heated up over them, and there is really no point. So I'd like this thread to remain free of them as I try to stay clear of them in other venues ...

Patrick, I just hope you aren't charging up your simian batteries for some final doomsday argument...

Seriously, though, how is everybody this morning? I'll probably be kind of scarce while daughter is here. Thought I'd check while she's in the shower. On my end: temporary filling in, pain decreasing, Xmas presents bought.

*sigh* I try too, I really do, and I have done better here in the OTD, but I have failed in other places. I had to 'unfan' myself from a designer's site because of the urge to contradict some political screed, and I'm just not happy about that right now.

Okay, so I'm off to my chemistry lab final. I'm so nervous I'm afraid I'll blow something up. Wish me luck.

Good luck!

Let me assure you, though, that blowing stuff up and getting a good grade in chemistry are not mutually exclusive. My sister is a chemist with an Masters in her field and she blows stuff up, inhales fumes, spills acid on herself, and has to be rushed to the hospital all the time. She is the clumsiest lab chemist ever. She wound up getting an extra bill from her college because the destruction she had reaked on their labs was more than they had budgeted for, but she was still one of their top students.
