Ours has been nice and quiet. We ate dinner, hubby napped, I worked on a bit of school work, and then we watched The Emporer's Club. One of my most favorite movies evar!Hubby was a bit bored, but did an admirable job of concealing it. :)

~grins~ I am doing good. I took off Friday and spent some time with my friends that night. I lazed around the house this weekend. Today was a good day too. My copy of the latest OotS book came in and I got the estimate for the roof too. Thye guy who will be doing the work gave me an estimate of around $1500 for the roof. The kitchen and all will be a seperate issue, but getting the roof done is priority one. Plus the Union may have come up with a new 3 year contract that will give me a retroactive 3% raise for the past 3 years. ~grins~ Bingo! My roof will be mostly paid for with that.

I like to spend money on good things. But it is not well-spent, no matter how good it is, if I have not first consulted with my personal financial planner/CPA.

~grins~ Thanks! ~chuckles~ Oh, I still need to get a loan, since I want it fixed ASAP. However, that now means that I can pay it back much sooner than I thought I would be able too. Even if the extra money doesn't get hear until tax time, that is still much needed extra money. ~sighs~ I figure that the total bill for roof and all the kitchen work will be under $5000. ~grimaces and then grins~ That hurts, but still it is a lot less than my inital estimate of $8k to $12k. Plus, I will make it my secondary goal of next year to get the house loan paid off ASAP, right after getting around $2k in my savings for the eventual emergency.
So, anybody going to buy the new white My Little Cthulhu? You could leave him that way and call him Moby Cthulhu.

`grins~ Thanks for the simpathy, Mairkurion. ~grimaces~ The roof isuue has been going on for a while. I only realized just how bad it was about 3 months agon. OTOH, all that this issue is is money and time. I can think of worse trouble to be visited with. In fact, I HAVE dealt with worse trouble. ~chuckles~ I just prefer to b!tch about trouble that I CAN fix over ones that I can't.
