Website Feedback

I never thought I would find myself asking this.. but...

I think I had a post deleted earlier today. Prior to posting here, I logged out of the site, closed the browser, wiped out my cache, and logged back in.. and then I went to "My Account" and viewed my Recent Posts.. and it's gone.

I had also made another post which Jason Bulmahn locked. I am not referring to that one. It was never my intention to start rampant negative speculation but I understand why he locked that post, and I offer no complaint about it.

BUt within minutes of THAT post, I made another post about the True Strike spell getting new life with Combat Manuevers. It was a harmless post, completely civil if not down right friendly. It vanished when the other post was locked.

I'm not mad or particularly bothered, but is this a website glitch, or what exactly did I do wrong?

I'm dubious of a website glitch, because I went back and re-read it after I had initially posted it.

It just occured to me that the true strike spell gets renewed usefulness with the new way that Combat Manuevers are handled.

Redefined as "attack rolls" which are modified by spells and feats, true strike becomes a great way to ensure the success of a Combat Manuever.

That's handy for a low level character (who typically struggle to do them successfully), but needs to make sure they don't fail.

I always thought true strike was a great spell, but my players never typically take it. Maybe if they can use it towards a disarm, they might reconsider.

I can see it. Your instance is probably just lagging behind. You'll see it eventually.

I posted to that thread as well. Twice actually: both times I received an error message of some kind, so I ended up double-posting. I then tried to delete my second post and the thread ceased to exist!

Believe it...OR NOT!

EDIT: I guess it's just a weird time warp of some kind.

Thanks gentlemen, I'll consider the matter closed. Just a website glitch.

Ha! I actually read the novella and saw the mini-series. I like Stephen King.

I saw the very bad straight to video 90's movie - with Balki Bartokomous in it.

Now that's some seriously offensive s+#*. I'm off to flag it.

Spoiler:

;-)

That's what I'm referring to.. I think it was broken into two parts.

I thought it was okay for 'made for tv'.

Generally, and this may be the exception, I think TV has done better by King than Hollywood.

I prefer the tv version of the Shining, for example.

** spoiler omitted **

High praise! ;)

Actually that was what confused me. Whenever I had a post vanish before I could always find it by going to 'My Account' and reviewing my recent posts.

Care to post a link to the thread? I still can't find it one day later!

Yeah.. oddly enough.. reassurances aside.. I still can't see it either, but I can see all the posts before and after it.

Perhaps it got accidentally suppressed, but Josh's administrative rights allow him to see it anyway? Cause I sure can't.

I can see it and I can see that it hasn't been suppressed. Hmm.

Any reason you're not posting a link? Trying to maintain an air of mystery? :-)

Me not think there any glitch!

Indeed, it just appeared. Like magic.

Perhaps a formal denial from the Messageboard Monster is all it took.

Always!

I couldn't get IN to the thread, I could only see his posts under his account. So I kicked Ross and since violence begets violence he kicked the server and something positive came from it. See? Ends justified by the means.
