"Oh the pizza is from degazzi's a few blocks over, they make the best stuff, don't as questions about odd locations and the see nothing., Humm ok what I have been able to find so far is, well nothing new on the drug but, MetaRX was founded about a year ago as a think tank to create new designer drugs with an influx of anonymous cred, not sure of where it initiated but it was funneled through Brackhaven Investments.
BCC how makes the deliverys also are a subsidiary of Brackhaven, its a smaller chemical division which mostly deals with the transportation and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
word on the street has hit about this Isis drug being on the eve of coming to market there are a handful of corporations looking to acquire them but so far they have not given sign to wanting to sale
so it seems to me that Brackhaven wants to keep it's hands clean, were talking circles in side circles here boy's and this is not some simple street drug you can bet your guns on that.
If you gave give me till noon, I'll look deeper, and I'll see about them patrols and so on."
GM
Ok I am looking for info on , MetaRX, brackhaven, BCC,the drug, patrols and anything connected I can find.

Brackhaven investments? The name Brackhaven sounds familiar for some reason. I just can't recall where I've heard it right now. If what you're saying is true, than security could be much tighter than Mr. J would suggest and we should proceed with caution.
SKULLCRUSHA |
random idea. kinda just popped into my head. something to think on. what if we werent hired by some random rival corporation that wanted the chemical specs of the drug, but what if brackhaven itself hired us to do this? there already is word on the street about metaRX's special drug. Publicity and demand about this drug would go through the roof if a hit on the manufacturer was stopped. it would make this new drug super popular, demand would be sky high, and with high demand comes short supply and end result is higher profits.
if this is the case, we are going to need some serious firepower on hand before we go into this place. so, not to intrude on your personal stuff, but does each of you have the serious firepower to bring should the drek hit the fan?
Tarlane |
As Winston mentioned, Brackhaven is more known for politics then business though his corp is still pretty respectably sized. He actually also was running for Mayor of Seattle a couple years back though he lost out to the incumbant. If any of you have any remotely political knowledges you can make checks. There is also a knowledge check up for any mafiaa connections you might have.
Neon, I'll give you your info once the team settles in for the night and has scoped things out.
SKULLCRUSHA |
AYE AYE CAP'N!!! ok rick, keep neon company. neon, send us a message with whatever intel you gather when u get it. even the meaningless drivel, we can sift the intel later. shoulda brought my boom stick.

You guys can get your bikes and get back without a hitch. Are you heading straight to the warehouse, or do you have any side plans in mind first?
Winston |
Winston would like to head more or less straight to the sight. He'll try to do an unobtrusive driveby, get a quick look at the scene, and after that he might find somewhere to park his bike and then try to get a closer look on foot.
He's still only packing his manhunter so if things get ugly he's not overly well armed.
Tarlane |
Skullcrusha, if you want to, you can swing by a store on the way. Did you have any reason other then just picking up some cigars? If thats all you want, its not an issue.
I haven't heard from Thomas in a little bit, so I'm going to assume that he is planning on catching a cab and you two are going to follow him over there.
Following the taxi over to the docs is an easy drive from downtown, its close enough and doesn't head through any of the really bad areas of town.
Doing pass by the front of the warehouse doesn't show anything distinct from any of the other warehouses around, without knowing the address you couldn't even identify it as there is no signs.
MetaRX faces the water on the docks, with an alley on either side. A glimpse down the alleys as you past shows a handful of street toughs hanging out against one of the walls near the back.
The front of the building has two large rollup doors and a single standard door. The building itself is two stories, and there are no windows.

That I am. Sorry, I wasn't entirely sure if I was, so I just ended up doing/saying nothing. Let's face it, I'm just too indecisive.
"Good to see nothing changed in the last five minutes. So, now what do we check out?"
Winston |
Winston films everything with his cyber eyes. He as he glances down the alley he switches to lowlight vision and uses his vision magnification to try to get a better look at the thugs in the alley.
Over his commlink he calls Skullcrusha.
Maybe we should look into to getting our hands on a boat
SKULLCRUSHA |
hmmmm...not a bad idea. quick in and out. bout how far would you make that from the dock itself to the front double door. maybe 50 meters? if that? hmmmm... well have to watch out for the gangers in the alley ways too. hmmm...i have some ideas on how to do this. but i dont want to say anything over the comms. hey winston, do you see some manhole covers in the street around this building?
tarlane
are there any manhole covers near this building? how many thugs down the alley ways? how far is the dock to the front of the building? whats the condition of the docks?
Tarlane |
There are about a half dozen thugs down the alley, dressed as gangers, looks like 5 orcs and a troll. You can make a gang related knowledge check to identify them by their colors.
The front doors to the edge of the dock looks to be about 30 meters, there is a pier that sticks out from close by with a couple boats on it, but it has a fence and guard hut blocking it off from foot traffic and looks to be private.
If you are considering an under or in water approach, the actual water line is likely more like 10 meters out from the edge of the building somewhere beneath your feet, but the pollution in this part of town brings out its own hazards.
There don't look to be any manholes in this area, the g round beneath you is primarily artificial and a lot of the businesses took to just letting their sewage flow directly into the sound, one of the causes of problems in this area.
Rick, go ahead and give me a vision based perception check.
Spider
After just a short time of searching on info about MetaRX's security, you find what seems like it should be a goldmine, a copy of their contract with a low rent security contractor. The data may be less then helpful though(but at least it is informative). It looks like they have simply contracted for three shifts of three guards so that they are covered around the clock. Looks like each shift is supposed to have at least one rigger on hand, though they opted out of any clauses that would give them really flash talent. The other two guards appear to be standard wage slave level grunts from their salaries.
SKULLCRUSHA |
how many guards in the guard house? how big is the guard house? whats it look like its made out of? can i tell what the guards have for protection?
winston, dont think we can do a mole mission. either water or drive by.... hmmmmm.... you finished with your surevalience?
i use my smart lenses and record some vid of the guard house, the approach from the docks to the front of the warehouse, the streets going infront of the place. any debris, trash piles? stuff like that?
Tarlane |
Winston
Rick
There is one security guard in the security shack and one walking a patrol along the private dock with a flashlight. You don't have a good view of the guard in the shack, but the one walking the dock has a belt with a sidearm on it. There is a sign on the front of the booth that labels it as being guarded by 'Lido Security'.
The shack itself is very small, basically the size of a toll booth. Just enough to shelter the guard and allow him to open the gate for anyone permitted past. The booth looks to be made of synthwood and it presses right up against the chain-link fence. A small window looks out through the fence to allow the guard within to keep an eye on anyone approaching.
There are large piles of refuse and dumpsters in the alleys between the different warehouses, but the main street is kept pretty surprisingly clear. The road is narrow enough that any debris would block through traffic so it is kept pushed aside.
Thomas Chance |
Meanwhile, Thomas continues to loiter near the warehouse, gazing into the astral plane.
Looking at the area around the warehouse with astral perception. Assensing, if I need it: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 1, 4, 2, for 1 hit. That was way too close to a critical glitch for my tastes.
Tarlane |
Thomas
The guards watching the pier across the way are not warded at all and are much less alert, their auras shimmer as if they were just having their own random thoughts.
SKULLCRUSHA |
hmmm...i think the security guards wont stick their neck out to protect the warehouse. but i think it would be prudent to set up some way to neutarlize their presence without actually killing them...i think a big distraction would be worth it. dont need them seeing us busting into the joint.
whats the intervals of the trash and refuse heaps? any large dumpsters pushed against any of the walls?
wow, that is alot of 1's! almost a glitch for sure...
Tarlane |
Given travel time and a bit of time to keep an eye on the place, I'm going to say another two hours. Long enough for Spider to get his first bit of info back(which I put in a post above for him). Sorry I've gone a bit slow the last day, family obligations sprang up fierce on me. I will try and post again in the morning, but I might not get another post up until tomorrow night.
Rick
The man across the road doesn't seem to be up to much other then watching the bar, though you suspect for a moment that he seems to acknowledge that you are watching by focusing his eyes on you for an instant. If you don't make any further move, he catches a taxi and slips off just a few minutes before the others arrive. Its close enough that either its quite a coincidence or he had advanced notice of their return.
SKULLCRUSHA |
ok, so its round midnight ish when we roll back into the bar.
i waltz up to the bar and ask the bartender hey there friend, how bout giving me another round of that tasty beer that you gave me earlier tonight
once i get my beer, i take a draw from the mug, and then walk into the back room
[b] hello ladies! miss us? any luck, neon?[b]
Winston |
Winston trudges into the bar as well.
Well folks. I think we've done what we can this evening. I think we should get some rest, and then we should spend a little time discreetly grilling our own networks of contacts about this new drug and the corp. After that we can meet and prepare for the job. If we're going to hit the place, I propose we do it tomorrow night. Though we still need to figure out a basic game plan and a shopping list of anything we need for the job.
I still think that the best thing we can do try to frame the hit on a bunch of Eco terrorists. If we do that we'll probably want some spray paint, explosives and a getaway vehicle.
Tarlane |
The tender gives a nod of his head towards Crusha before sliding him a beer, not giving you any troubles as you make your way back into the back room again.
Let me know what you guys are planning for the night. Resting is fine. If you are going to try and put out the word to your contacts, go ahead and roll their connections. I'll judge how much they might know about this given situation and might knock off the last die or two of the rolls if they don't know much, or might roll one of two more for you if they seem like they would have a lead on this.
NeonSpider |
As the others enter Spider looks up. "How did the hunt go?, I found out a little info myself.I did run down MetaRX's security contract info. Not alot there but, It looks like they have contracted for three shifts of three guards so that they are covered around the clock. Looks like each shift is supposed to have at least one rigger on hand, though they opted out of any clauses that would give them really flash talent. The other two guards appear to be standard wage slave level grunts from their salaries. Not alot so far but I can keep digging, However it may give use an in.. How do you feel like playing Security?'
