Considering it's only 2 weeks into Spring, that does not bode well for Summer. :(Had our first grade cricket match on Saturday, and I was glad we were batting first. I think it got to 32oC mid-afternoon.
I think we're going to have some 45oC days this summer.
Hey, we're discussing sports here!
Stop getting off topic, bucko!
;)
I'm American, Cricket is either a) an annoying insect, or b) a cheap cell phone service provider.
A sport? I think not...
I'm American, football is either a) soccer in the rest of the world, or b) boring to watch.
Stupid? Yes.
o.O
You must be one of those "naturalized" thingies...

Soccer's a thrill-a-minute?
I went to a Dynamo game this season (I was paid to do so), and I'll admit it wasn't bad. However, watching guys flop every time someone brushed their jersey, looking for a, well, whatever it is they get penalized for in soccer, was kind of annoying. And revealing. Now I know where all the flopping on the NBA came from. It didn't really exist like it does now before Euro and South American players became more common...

Thanks, Flash! I really didn't think they'd pick my goofy entry. I do know my son enjoyed listening to it.

Did you have a good date? I hope you found something both of you could enjoy together.
Yes. We were going to go to the art museum, but game traffic prevented since it would have taken at least an hour to make what was normally a twenty minute drive and then we'd have less than an hour before the museum closed. So, we drove up to Partridge Creek and went window shopping instead. He was even mostly surreptitious about checking the game score on his blackberry. :)

Two pina coladas and a rum and diet coke didn't hurt either. ;)

1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats..

9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.

I'm not sure if this goes in the good things thread or the things that suck thread, so I'll just put it here. :)
I signed up for an art class. I'm really excited about that. I've been wanting to learn more about how to paint with watercolors for awhile now. And I got in to the class at the time when I wanted. Yay! :)
And then I saw the supplies list....My wallet is crying again. :(

I think it's marvelous that people go out and run, bike-riding and such. It was just that a quarter-mile seemed... well, not that far, sorry :-) So I thought that to have a distance like that affect you like that, I'd think that a) you haven't worked out in a great while, or b) was recovering from something serious like surgery or an accident, t'is all... But I'm not excactly dying to know... :-) Not really.... or am I? :-P
