I'm happy to report that she's well on her way to feeling better, for which I am most thankful. I'm just glad we dealt with this now and not during our vacation at DragonCon (t-minus 10 days and counting...)

And Happy Tuesday everybody. :)
So - I guess we should finally try to wrap up this 'GodKidz' quest-thingy, huh? ;)
I don't know about the others, but LK is a demigod. Having a mortal mom does that(see the OTD OOC) ;)
I think we should though. Lk's getting along better with Kiba now, Arielle is gaining(I assume) control of her weather magic, and Tristan's telepathy stone is now melded into his skin(not to mention the fact he is on his way to be a powerful sorcerer. Perhaps the destined or arcane bloodline?).

I'd just like to get it started so I can park Devlyn and let the younglings do their thing. That should help things along a bit, neh? ;)
Well. if we're following Tristan into the tunnels...

Put that bird whistle down. I hear ya. :-)
Okay, The Class Reunion is done, School is back in session, Gen Con is over, and Dragon Con is just coming around the bend soon. Sheesh! I still haven't read my new Pathfinder Campaign book too. I need to look through the back posts and get my berrings on which way the PBP is advancing, but htere no trip to the tunnels just yet.
Second, I would like everyone to send me a recap this week, their point-of-view on the last few encounters with Tristan. I want to know what they want to know and what they think.
There's few other stops along the way. Probably will be at the Sanctum of the Sun and another destination I haven't figured out yet.

It is reaaly good so far, what with the family spirits working to protect him(there is a sorcerer bloodline-Ancestral I think- that might go well with what your going for. The Destined or Arcane bloodline(or a mix of all three) would be interesting.
As for the Recap: Good job. There is a bit more detail in it than any thing I have come up with so far(except maybe Sky's mini-adventures). I keep thinking of all the different twists and turns this could take, and I keep realizing they are unlikely, so I think of more. Then there is all the different ways to go about taking on Nailz('m not even going to try to figure out The Tunnels), how to counter the drow's divine magic(?) and her psionics, and the Ur-Priests. You put a lot of detail, work, and forethought into this. I want to to DM a game for us(the Free-Form Gamers) one day. Or maybe we can all take turns being the DM? AAAHHH!!! You are making me think more! Stop it, that's what school is for! :)

I feel your pain, BP. We're trying to get ready for DragonCon over here, too (and make sure my sweety has no other issues after the appendix thing). T-minus nine days and counting... :D
The stuff with Tristan has been a good read so far. The only humble suggestion I might make would be to tweak things so only the kids can ultimately deal with this problem. (Maybe the reason is a combination of their particular talents & origins, or some aspect of Tristan that unlocks more of the potential in all the others). I know I won't be able to post enough when things start moving forward again, and it will be easier to get Devlyn out of the loop now rather than later.
Anywhoo - time to get this ball rolling again, neh? ;)

You have a point. Plus, who really expects three kids to save the day outside of a cartoon or movie where you already know that is exactly what they are going to do. If not for the 'linking' back at the Bazaar, I doubt I ever would have thought of using a giant cloud wolf as armor.
I have to agree with this. I find whatever Tristan's power is to be intriguing. He's hanging out with a couple of demigods and holding his own. Sure, they're ten year old demigods who don't have a handle on their own abilities yet, but still. That sounds like more than just a sorceror. I'm curious to see how that turns out. And this being the kids' storyline, they really should be the ones to solve it. Not necessarily without help from the grownups, but still primarily them.

I still trying to figure out if Lk is bound like Kiba and Sky, or if he'll 'grow' into his powers. Most likely the latter, since his inability to cast spells stems from his inability to use his divinity (except in dire circumstances, during which he isn't worried about spells he couldn't previously cast).

You kids get off my lawn! ... I feel old all of a sudden.
You're not old, hon...and we don't have a lawn. :)....But it does sound like you could use a nap ;)
On a related note, I was meaning to ask, are you going to be trying to find out what happened to Liselle and Aiselle? If you're not LJ is, but I didn't want to step on your toes there.

*sigh* Got to work up energy for that. Need a nap. About a month's worth. If it tickles your brain, I'm cool with you picking up the writer's tablet. :)

As Ch'ack and Arielle spar on misty morning, Ch'ack finds himself struggling keep up with her improving skills. Steam from his body combines with the mist as he moves faster. As he parries and counters his daughter his form splits slightly, phasing into two parts. One, the new form that he wears in this life and the other one that he knew in his past life. Similar but distinct, the second, translucent form wears a death mask and tattoos of blue woad cover its skin. Each form acts, seemingly on its own. It becomes easier to counter Arielle's speed. The mist around them cools, even as the sun rises in the sky.

Sounds like I might have left you hanging on the story elements a bit. Choked up - check. Wanting more - check. Hmmm, maybe a pulp novelist is buried somewhere in my brain. ;)

"Yes, you are learning quite well. Likely ready to try two opponents at the same time. At least that's what was running thru my mind 'til you stopped."

A memory sweeps thru Ch'ack's mind like a summer storm. A land of mist. His father, adorned in blue tattoos that seemed to have a life of their own. A dragon, ancient and powerful. Fear. Secrets.
He tries to recover.

Not quite what I was referring to, but no worries sir :)
Okay - let's take care of this while things are quiet:
Devlyn brushes the flour off of Allura's nose. "I'm going to go back to the Bazaar and see what else I can dig up there (and put down, if necessary). The kids should be safe here, and I can move around a bit more unobtrusively if I'm alone." She can tell by his body language and tone that he doesn't like acknowledging that last bit of truth at all.
"If you can keep our link up, then do so. Otherwise, I'll use the crystal to contact you." He gets a thoughtful look on his face, then pulls out his crystal. "Unless you can figure out a way to use the crystals for our link and not have to use so much of your own energy to maintain it. That might be worth looking into."
"Anywhoo, I'll be careful if you are" he says with a wink. "Maybe we can shut these folks down before they try something else stupid. I'll let you know what I find out."
He gives her a long kiss, then heads for the omniportal and returns to the Oasis.

Ch'ack Hammer |

Later that day Ch'ack takes a nap. He falls quickly to sleep and begins dreaming. Symbols and colors float thru his sleeping mind. Some cause pain and others counter them. Some stand alone, others in groups. Familiar and those beyond comprehension, neither type makes sense but all leave a lingering sense of danger.
The nap does little to refresh him.

Allura mentally responds from the kitchen where she had been talking to Djuhah.
:I'm here, Tristan. Come to the kitchen. Did you sleep badly? I'll be glad to provide a healing spell if you need it.:
:::No. No healing magic. I'm just sore like I've, I don't know. I can't describe it.:::
Rubbing his hands and forearms, Tristan walks into the kitchen and Allura almost doesn't recognize him. He looks almost six months older and barely fits his current wardrobe.
